Yes, there were warnings. There were warnings before 9/11/01, but you said was okay to ignore those warnings because they weren't specific enough. <quoted text>
Are you just dumb or canít you read? Ignoring his failures? What part of, I thought Bush was a terrible president do you not understand? Iíve already said he sucks. Iíve already agreed with you. Given this, why do you keep insisting that I am ignoring his failures? I know, because if you acknowledged what I have already said, i.e. that Bush sucked, youíd have to acknowledge what I have already pointed out, i.e. just because Bush sucked doesnít mean that no liberal can ever suck?

Your thought process is so idiotic, I bet if one of your children got a D in a class, you would say thatís a wonderful grade and there is nothing wrong with it, because little Johnny who lives down the street got an F in the same class! Youíd probably take your child out for ice cream as a reward!

The demographics donít bother me. I Spock like fashion I merely point out what they are.

I couldnít care less about an individualís skin on a personal level. I also have friends and very close family who are of those two groups I mention. They themselves do not rely on welfare programs, but that still doesnít change what I have said about those two racial groups. I didnít make those numbers up. I wish they werenít true, in fact.

The fact is, we ARE becoming less and less white and an ever increasing percentage of our population is consisting of groups who as individuals are more likely to be on welfare than white individuals.

This is bound to be good for the democratic party, because they are all about getting as many folks as possible on welfare programs and even thinking of new welfare programs that they can create. Republicans wonít be able to compete given this. So you should rejoice! Your party is going to crush the republican party in the near term because they are the party of welfare!

The democrat party is also completely against any policy changes that could be enacted that might incentivize folks to not use these programs and instead choose to be self-sufficient if at all possible. Doing so would clearly not be in the democratic partyís best interest Ö for if people were self-sufficient and didnít rely on them to provide them with handouts, they would be less likely to vote for them.

For example, say an individual is receiving section-8 housing, but could if he chose, take on a second part time job or acquire new job training such that he could provide for his own housing? There is absolutely no incentive in the system for him to do so, because in the end heíd have the same housing and would just work more to pay for it. A person on such a program is likely to forego the added effort it would require to acquire a second job or acquire increased job training, when he can just do nothing more than he is already doing and live just the same. When people such as myself, point this out, suggest this is a serious flaw with our entitlement programs, and suggest things that might be done to alter this situation, bleeding hearts start hemorrhaging blood and throwing up every conceivable road block they can possibly think of to encourage folks to get off of these programs and provide for themselves!

Ummm....I really don't care "what" you say, Subpar. I'm judging you by your actions. You may have hated Bush (who in their right mind didn't).

I don't have any experience with my kids getting any D's Subpar, so I wouldn't know. But obviously, with your vast experience in that arena, you do, so thanks for the explanation.

Tell me again how you thought Bush sucked. It pleases me.

How can the failures of the Bush admin be ignored?

Bush, Cheney (sp?), Rove and a few others should have
been charged (and convicted) of treason when they
outed OUR spy in 2003.

But Val knew that we had no WMDs in Iraq. And w/o
that excuse they would have had no reason to invade.

They wanted their war.
And our men and women paid a high price for it.

Just b/c they don't believe in pulling the

not mean they want ppl on welfare.

Okay, here's an idea then. Maybe...just MAYBE, republicans should work with democrats to come up with an immigration reform platform.

But we all know they won't. They'll just say NO and then blame democrats.

Oh, the glorious hypocrisy.

I love the hypocrisy of the left. Mother nature causes a massive hurricane to wipe out New Orleans and everyone blames Bush because he canít control nature or snap his fingers and immediately rescue the ton of people who were trapped because they were too dumb to heed warnings to GTFO.
Then youíve got Benghazi, where the State Department even acknowledged that it rejected appeals for more security despite receiving warnings months before from both Libyan, U.S., and allied intelligence agencies that the region was becoming very dangerous, and folks on the left are like well that was just a unpredictable tragedy and itís no oneís fault.
On top of that, youíve got an INDEPENDENT report that says there were "systemic failures and leadership and management deficiencies" in the state department and people are STILL like, nope, even though she is in charge of it, it wasnít her fault Ö she has no control over the leadership and management of the state department, even though sheís in charge of leading it and managing it.
It also wasnít unpredictable, contrary to what you think:
In the months before the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya, U.S. and allied intelligence agencies warned the White House and State Department repeatedly that the region was becoming an increasingly dangerous vortex for jihadist groups loosely linked or sympathetic to al Qaeda, according to U.S. officials.
On June 11, a rocket-propelled grenade was fired at Sir Dominic Asquith, the British ambassador, as he drove through the city. He was unscathed, but two of his bodyguards were injured. Britain responded by closing its diplomatic office in Benghazi and withdrawing all UK staff. Five days earlier, unknown assailants had thrown an improvised explosive device at the gates of the US consulate in the middle of the night, causing no injuries.
wow

You make a strong argument

so much so that I'm compelled to agree :)
