Good morning everyone~~
I haven't been able to post much, I can't take the sluggishness of
trying to do so, it's so annoying.

Anyway, all is beautiful in our neck of the woods. Guess we better
get ready to deal with some heavy pollen if this kind of weather
keeps up.
Last year it was so heavy, it was coming off the trees in little
pollen dust devils.

Well, guess I better get on it and try entering the numbers~~
so it can tell me 2 or 3 times that I've entered them wrong.

For me, anytime I click on a thread, four out of five times, the thread freezes. It appears they are trying to load so many ads, the system can't handle it.

I don't have any problems. But I don't see any ads either, since I installed ad aware. It's free

I think so too~~
I was reading my hometown obits the other day and an ad for prescription sleep
medication danced across the screen.
I thought, how tacky...

You forgot to mention that we are having wheelchair races in the
hallway of Shadey Pines, in your Avatar.

Remember, when we get to the emergency exit we turn around and
I get to push the chair...

I read my hometown obits everyday. I loved this name I came across--Phoenix Moondance. Gal was our age. Active in the 70's in the anti-war and women's movements. I thought with a name like that she probably would be. But her parents were definitely ahead of their time with naming her that--unless she had it changed.

Ruby--I'm hooking again this afternoon. I love this one I'm doing. I'll have to send you a picture of what it's supposed to look like and then a picture of what it looks like when I finish. If I can keep up the pace I did yesterday, it should only take another couple weeks to finish it. Then I'll start on the lighthouse for Tony. I can't tell you how much I enjoy doing this, and imaging the look on the face of the recipient. I put on my headphones, tune in my favorite oldies station and lose all track of time. I haven't been this relaxed in well over 40 years. Did I mention I LOVE being retired. LOL--I've lost weight, rarely have the reflux that plagued me daily, and I just feel so good. I should have done it 6 months earlier.

I freeze up on my droid phone too. One of the reasons I am on Facebook so much.

Yep, it takes longer to navigate through the threads than it does to read and post. That's why I don't bother with Topix that much any more.

Good afternoon everyone. Pollen count is over 2700 today. Sure am glad I don't suffer from the allergies. It's a good day to stay indoors if you do have them. Cars are covered with yellow pollen and even though it's a beautiful day, it's not wise to open windows in the house--unless yu want that stuff all over everything. Yuck. Rain forecast for this weekend, so hopefully that will help wash some of it away.

Oh yay! Kristen's husband turned in his two week notice today. Got a better job, much closer to home and a helluva lot more money. Way to go. I'm so happy for him. No more long drives just to get to work through that awful Atlanta traffic. It could take 2 hrs or more for him to get home in the evening. And in the morning it could be worse. And there's talk about maybe getting ready to have a baby. Only talk so far, but I'd be thrilled for them. Buzz wants a baby brother or sister (he's not particular). It's their choice and I stay WAY out of those conversations. They don't need me interfering in that decision.

Hi Cov. I'm glad I don't have allergies. I see many others suffering though.

Our counts get so high, it's just about impossible not to have some symptoms. It just gets everywhere.

Did it turn it all yellow? Did you get hit by any of those storms that went through?

It was fairly yellow. I got lucky with the storms. We got hit by the weakest of them. Some of my friends were closer to them than I was. One of my friends going on our girls weekend trip was smack in the middle of them but she made it thru ok. Hubs has converted our garage into a workshop. I am 2 blocks from a bank and if huge hail heads my way and it's after hours I am going to their drive thru to try to avoid hail dents. LOL
