Good morning, Lady Cov and all. I'm finally ready for some breakfast. Just a sob this morning. I'm feeling sorta lazy and laid back this morning. I think I'll work up enough energy to put on a crockpot of ham 'n' beans. I haven't had any for a couple of weeks, and I think it would be a great supper, with some fried taters 'n' onyuns with some cornbread. Yep, gotta do it. Y'all have a good',
Hi perfessor and everyone else.
perfessor, that's exactly how I do dinner with ham and beans. With fried potatoes and corn bread. I thought I was the only one who did that. lol

Being a small town boy, he's getting ready to eyewitness
things he can't even imagine.
I mean that in a good way and yes, he'll probably see some
not so good things too, but what a learning experience.

I think I'd rather come over to your house for dinner than have my own tonight! Sorry I'm late with the sob this morning. Been busy, busy, busy said the little worker bee.

Until he went to basic, I'm not too sure he's ever been out of Georgia. He told me last night maybe he'll come home with a Korean wife! I know he was joking--he's just looking forward to having some fun. He's probably going to see some snow!

Now you've done it. Those guys will be trying to shoot it out of the tree with their salt guns! I can hear the hunting tales now. "Yeah, Bob, one time I was out there shootin' me some mistletoe, and I got me a big ol' clump. Durn near filled my wheelbarrow." "That's pretty good, Luke. But see here this one time I snuck up on a pertickly evil clump of that ol green stuff. Blam! I let him have it with my 22. Took me and my wife and kids to haul it all home."

I always hating it when I shot a really nice stalk of the mistletoe off a limb, only to have it fall onto some branches below it. It would usually entwine in such a way it was next to impossible to get the rest of the way down. It's not as easy to shoot down as lots of people would think. I always used a 22, because a shotgun would tear too much of the stalk up. Y'all have a good'n.
