lol, me too. They're all over my page.
I have the old fashioned Westinghouse. Anyway, a few years back I was faced with preparing a prime rib roast for the first time - for company. I had a huge cut and felt helpless. Heated up the roaster, put that piece of meat in there on a rack, turned down the heat and just let it cook itself. Meanwhile, I used the oven for my baked potatoes. The dinner was a success. I highly recommend them. They do take up a lot of room on your kitchen counter, but then you store it elsewhere when you're done using it.

This is for future reference...personally, I love Rickster's Weber method, but only if someone else is doing it!
An electric roaster is a Godsend, especially when you're doing a big dinner. I love mine.
A couple of months ago, I gave one of my daughters my Mother's old Westinghouse roaster. I would be willing to bet that it is 40-45 yrs.old. Mother has cooked many turkeys, hams, etc. in that thing. It still does an excellent job; the porcelain just isn't as pretty and bright as it once was. My daughter did an excellent job with it over the holidays, too. Y'all have a good'n.

Yes! That's exactly what I have. The old cord is getting frayed, so I have to watch that.
Also I inherited my mother-in-law's old electric frying pan. I use it for frying bacon and pork chops. Nice, even heat. Those old kitchen appliances are marvelous!

Good morning, mr cheerful! I've been up for hours. The grands are coming over today so I've got cooking to do. Here's your coffee, the biscuits will be ready in a minute, and I've got your red eye gravy and country ham, too. And I didn't forget the sugar.

You've been gone so long, I thought you'd done a hook up on FarmersOnly.com and had finally found a friend with benefits to help warm these cold nights.

Around noon. I love making the soup in the crock pot. I don't like cutting up or even touching velveeta--there's something sort of ewww about it, but it sure does do well in the soup. Put on a double batch so there should be plenty. Don't know what to work on next--probably the dump cake, and will get the pigs in blankets started while the cake is baking. I made some sausage balls at Christmas where I used cream cheese, but they were messy to make. So I may just go back to the old tried and true. The kids only nibble when they come over so I'm not doing a big meal.

I love it when all the grands are here. Makes for a fun time. Buzz and Tony still need to get his train set up downstairs. I want to see it run, too. My oldest grandson wanted some Aerosmith or Pink Floyd cd's--I got him a couple of Aerosmith since I think his mom was going to get the Pink Floyd. I'll let him put them on the Bose and we'll have some tunes going on.
Who's picture did you use for your account? You know you're supposed to put up a fake one so all the wommins will be wanting you.

I read that unflavored dental floss is easy and quick for cutting velveeta. I saw that sausage ball recipe on fb and wondered about the creme cheese.

I love broccoli cheese soup but never made it. Is it easy?

I just realized something. I am a member of a group on FB that shares grilling and smoker recipes. When you get your smoker let me know. The guy that runs it loves sharing recipes and posts pictures of his food.

Yeah, the soup is really easy. 1 lb velveeta (cubed), 1 10 oz pkg chopped broccoli (don't thaw it), 1 can cream of chicken soup and 1 1/4 cup milk. Throw everything in the crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours. I stir it about once an hour just to blend the cheese in. If you like minced onion, it says to saute them in butter first, but we don't like onion in our soup.
