I sure hope Mousie is okay. The OKC area is getting tornadic activity.
Yes, poor William--he was a very good fish! I understand Buzz cried for quite a while over William. It's hard to be 6 and not understand that it's just part of life.

I hope Mousie is ok, too. I'm also wondering if any of our kinfolk was the big powerball winner. The winning ticket was sold in Zephyr Hills and that's just a hop, skip and a jump for them. Doubt they'd share! I don't know that I'd share with them either. LOL--it would be their good fortune and not ours, and no reason for them to share at all. A few of them would donate most of the money to their favorite causes and that's cool.

Hi all...Mousie is fine..but I could sure down
a pint of shine..
We had storms all around last night...lost the cable but stayed tune to weather radio..finally
cleared and got to bed.
My oldest son had asked me to bake him a jam cake
so I did and then when I took it to him at 3.30 this afternoon I got trap in the wrong place at the wrong time. The sky was black and rain and wind
every where. I hide tail it home and then the sirens went off.
I live on south side and it was mostly on the north side. I have never seen until today when a tornado drop down on to a lake and sucked the water up..it stayed on water for a long time.
A lot of damage today and we are set to go thru it again tomorrow.
Thanks for asking ..I am drinking my shine and heading for bed.

Tell Buzz to name his new fish, Prince Harry.
Flowery Branch sure has some serious flash flooding
damage and it's not over yet.
That would be such a scary situation, especially
for people who cannot swim. But even good swimmers sometimes can't handle the current.
One of the locals was talking about how bad the fire ants are in the water.
I'd be so creeped out in that water thinking about
snakes, etc.
Hope everyone who is in the path of storms stays
safe...
That's scary, Ruby. I guess she is okay, because I haven't had a phone call, but Flowery Branch is where one of my sisters live, and they have a creek running through their property. I'll certainly add a prayer, though.

It is so humid and hot here in St. Louis, I was unable to attend my youngest grand daughter's graduation this afternoon. They say those kids were miserable out in the middle of that football field. It was the first time ever held on a Sunday afternoon; they had always been on Friday night. I've a sneaky feeling they will return to that.

Hope everyone is safe down that direction. Y'all have a good'n.

Hi Ricky yes I am in OKC..I am fine but so many places have
been destroy. We were lucky yesterday. Most damage was at
Shawnee and Little Ax. A mobil home park wipe out and one
home with one dead and they are still looking.
We are getting ready to go thru it again. Getting dark here already
OKC is the highest risk today. They say from 1 thru 9 pm but I think we will get it sooner.I hate the night storms.
Will post again when I can.
Stay safe all.

Stay safe, Mousie. Keep us informed when you can. We'll all be thinking about you and Mr. Mouse today.

Perfessor--there is a "boil water" advisory for Flowery Branch. they got 7 inches of rain over the weekend. Yikes! Hope your sister is safe and sound.

Some areas in TN are also under water from flash flooding.
One family stood by helplessly watching their home float down
the creek.
I sure hope this is no indication of what this years hurricane
season is going to be like.

Good morning all

Sounds like some kind of apocalypse is going down for several of you. I should start watching TV again. If it wasn't for the bits of info I pick up on Topix, half the country could have slipped into the Atlantic and I wouldn't know.

Stay safe all

and a cup of kona please

Hello Ms Covcas and Friends

Ahhhh, it's me again and I know I'm not received very well by all, but I gotta say ... I'm in a different place in my Topix play these days and I gotta say ... it feels much better.

I would like to make apologies for any and all that ... well for anything I may have said or done that didn't go over well in your eyes.

I hold no grudges and I believe in starting new everyday when given the opportunity to do so.

Good morning cafe!!

Mousie I am so glad you're ok!! I knew you were in the OKC area but had forgotten you were south. Hubby and I were discussing buying a safe room when we move to Texas. It seems as if certain areas have more tornadoes than others. The OKC area is one of those.
Anyone need a coffee refill?

Hi Dazzle! Remember the movie, "Safe Room?" I think that's what it was called...with Jodie Foster.
So, I thought everyone in tornado country had basements or cellars for security.
