<quoted text>OH just keep it going in here. Christmas decorations have been put up and trees taken down. Mom always said it was bad luck to have them up on the 1st. Why, I have no idea, but I'm not taking any chances. Next year, all the decorations will be at Kristen's home and none here (I hope). I'm not all that fond of them, but with the little one, we like to have a tree for him. This year we had one big one, and he got to have a small one in his room. And maybe family get togethers can be at her home, too. Let a new tradition begin. That's what's fun--passing the traditions down to the younger generation and hoping they keep them alive.
My grandmother insists everyone keep their decorations up for the twelve days of Christmas (today is six geese a laying). Also, we must eat pickled herring for good luck on New Years Day. It must be one of those Eastern European things.

I'll wait until I see your Avatar, oh short one, before I make
up my mind.
Besides, first things first, right now I'm looking for Rickster...
Why Rickster? Randman's the one that wants you to grab your thingies and head out back. Guess he didn't realize that in order for you to grab those thingies, you'd first have to roll them up and tuck them in!

If I had to eat pickled herring, it would be good luck if I didn't hurl.

I'll take you girls to my favorite steak house in Atlanta, Bones Restaurant for dinner and then to the clubs to cabaret the night away...

My brother lives in Atlanta. Every time I visit he never has Pepsi in the house. I go to the grocery store to look for some. They have whole aisles stuffed with Coke products and a couple of cases of Pepsi stuck at the end. Tough market for the boys at Pepsi. But I love the underrated movie, Coca-Cola Kid with Julia Roberts brother Eric. Check out the bearded dude with the long flute thing going on in the "Greatest Coke Song Ever" from the movie:

It's a southern loyalty thing. Coca Cola stock made a lot of
Georgia Crackers wealthy, and look at what the CCC still does for the Atlanta.
You're right about Pepsi, where
I come from in Florida I'd say Pepsi is more popular than Coke.

lol...Rickster is more subtle, I think...I mean, just look what he gets on this thread: home-cooked meals, shine, and the ladies. All from that recliner I keep hearing about.

I clicked this on after enjoying watching the
link KP posted.

Why don't we ever see these good commercials?

If I have to see one more car commercial, where
the car has a big red bow on it.
Next it will be the weight loss ads.

I think this is a set-up~~
You're trying to confuse me, taking advantage of my known
memory lapses.
Are you sure it's Randman and not Rickster?

You do know the roll 'em up tuck 'em in is called,

I've never tried pickled herring, but would try a bite to see
if I liked it.
I can't stand sardines, just the thought of eating them makes me
want to gag.

Do you realize how quickly sod will go up in flames when someone drops a sparkler in the grass? Neither did I. I now have no grass at all in my front yard.$2500 of sod went up in flames and it spread quickly. I don't think I can handle much more excitement tonight.

Well, I certainly would go out back with you. However, it was RandMan

Isn't that called "Rawhide?" Oh never mind.
