This is always a problem. The extremes of both sides never make for a logical argument, just watch the us house and senate that never get anything done due to the same division. Now let's really think about this. Do guns kill people? Of course they do. But a person who wishes to cause murder and mayhem can and will, the only real limitation is their imagination. Criminals will obtain weapons to commit crime regardless of laws in place. Disarming law abiding citizens has no effect other than turning humans into victims. As for the international arms trade, war and injustices the world over, that's a different discussion from a U.S. citizens right to keep and bare arms. Extreme anti gun groups and individuals will see no reason anymore than the I'll go down shooting before they take my guns type. That's because there is no reasoning in extremes, it is passion without logic.

<quoted text>Thats great for them. This is America. Our laws are differant. Our law states a law abidding citizan of the this country has under the 2nd admendment the right to bare arms. Automatic weapons where banned untill 2004 here. After the bann was lifted the the "Gun" crime rate has steadly dropped. Most in part the states has made it easier for us to obtain permits. The actions of 1 idiot can't be aminded by punishment of all. I feel deep for anyone who has been a victim of a gun crime. But drunk drivers kill more people here than guns. Should we ban the automoble also.?
Not only that let's look at countries and communities that ban guns. In 2009, Mexico had over 30000 deaths in 4 months. Not only were the people getting gunned down, but hung from bridges with wire. They were hacked to pieces with their remains burned in barrels. Before that, 10000 helpless women trying to support their families south just south of El Paso were kidnapped after work, then raped and murdered. And the Mexican govt. just ignored it because it might embarrass them. Violent crime now occurs more per capital in England than the US. Violence in Australia has now quadrupled since their gun ban. The same goes for Venezuela. Chicago, who led the nation with 512 homicides, have nearly doubled it this year. These are gun banned areas where innocent people are pissed on. And all these professional confiscators can do is applaud themselves for only allowing themselves protection while securing their next election. Why the hell are violent convicts given daily plea bargains while thieving, paranoid Marxists move to take the guns of the innocent. I must insist that more freedom for the law abiding is the answer, not choking their right to defend their lives and property.

Shadow man. Do you mean to say after all the bloodshed that the Muslims instigated, that the Christian south should have laid down their arms to surrender their families, property, and lives so some mullah could buy a few more wives?

So are automobiles, nail bars, tire irons, hammers, knives, rocks and bare hands just to name a few. Don't restrict innocent peoples rights, but instead, do to criminals what they have done to others.

C'mon now, you're being ridiculous with most of your list as guns are meant for one thing only and that's to kill.

I agree to an extent with an eye for an eye but that still doesn't stop it from happening again. As long as there are guns out there irresponsible people are going to get their hands on them and use them irresponsibly.

I say make it to where lethal bullets are outlawed even to law enforcement but allow everyone to use non-lethal bullets for protection and law enforcement. I know that would make people upset but too many people are dying daily by guns. I believe over 3,000 people have died by guns since Newtown. That's unacceptable seeing as we're supposed to be a peaceful nation.

This should be an easy thing to give up in order to save lives.

If I had been in that dark theater when the shooting started, I would have been shooting at muzzle flashes since I wouldn't have known which one was the threat. Maybe you could wear a beenie with a flashing light on it so that I wouldn't mistake you for the bad guy in the dark. Back away from the keyboard and think about what you said for a moment. That is the reason I say there needs to be strict control over issomeone who has watched way too many reruns of Rambo, running around armed.
Movie theaters are rarely dark enough that you can't make out peoples faces and or silouettes. I trained in low light and backlite situations.Radar

Or maybe it's not the plane that kills people so much as it is the gravity. Now what?
