Thing Two had picked out a book called Haunted by Chuck Palhniuk. The back said, tweeny three horrifying stories....
Thank goodness I flipped through it.
UGH. It's gross, perverted and NOT for kids.

This site is great.
I already see a few that I'm sure they'll like.
Thanks so much!
Yeah, it's just too bad Rose never contributes anything to this thread (see the sarcasm font?) She always knows a good website for stuff.

Just your everyday, run of the mill, ghost stories
or zombies...
Hey Jane~~
First off I want to mention your comment about giving
the book, The Gift of Fear, to your daughters when they
are older. Bravo!

Along with a graduation gift to my niece this past year,
I included a copy of the book, too.
She's heading off to college.

Give me a minute to think about it and I'm sure I can suggestion
some books for you~~let me take a quick look in my kids section.

As far as Just J goes:

We live in close proximity and it's interesting
to know the same landmarks, etc.
We both have a passion for blues music and hit
it off right away because of our mutual interest.

J has always been respectful and fun to post with.

Not true at all.
I'm speaking my opinion as you have all so readily done so on many threads, yourself..
Had I found myself comfortable and inviting on this thread, I would have contributed more, but you have made that effort ultimately, impossible
Barbi made a genuine start to reach out to others, you, however, haven't.
I will leave this thread in peace, but if you try following me to squelch my voice/opinion on any other such matters on the Topix threads, I will return, forthright, as you have so adamantly done so on many other occasions during my posting history to date.
You are one of the main reasons no others wish to visit here on this thread to contribute in a somewhat peaceful, and respectable manner.
Happy Posting..
Your contributions?

That's funny, all I've ever seen from you is......

Thanks. And thanks for suggesting it.
I've posted a little bit about what happened to my sister. She said that that morning she had a feeling of things just not being right.
A gut feeling.
In her case,I don't know if reading the book would have changed anything, but it sure couldn't have hurt.

That book is a great gift idea for any woman.

It's laughable watching you beg for compassion when you have nothing but disdain for anyone that doesn't suckup to you.

Your apathy for DF came back and bit you on the posterior.

Good morning BRG fans~
The Royal Baby is on the way!
I just turned on the news and The Duchess of Cambridge is officially in labor.
Yay!
Any bets on the sex of the baby or the name?
I started a pool with a few family members and friends to guess the weight of the baby --I *made* everyone participate--cough up $5--closes guess wins the pot.$55 is up for grabs!

When I saw that this morning, I immediately thought of you and Ruby. I will try to catch the news as I can during the day. Interesting comment was made this morning that if the baby is born today it will be under the sign of Cancer, if it doesn't come until after midnight, it will be a Leo. Just some trivia that the news people over there have to chat about.

Hey Cov--fellow earlybird:)
I thought of Ruby, too.
Not that many people seem as into it as I am. I love it! Anything to do with the Royal Family and I'm there. I'll be closely following the news today--for sure.

What imaginary time zone do you live in Mavis? Must be the one where there is NEVER a godawful time of night. I mean you post all hours of the night, but that rule never applies to you.

Can you say hypocrite? Or is that to big of a word for you?

lol
