Do they really? The Amish, I mean. What's that show about, because I don't see how that could be true. I've seen Witness. |

So you have first-hand knowledge that supports what everyone else if finally realizing! Long before the anti-doping agency came out with their report I'd been paying attention to the people who were brave enough to speak out against him. God he's a horrible bully. He was more than happy to ruin anyone who dared to tell the truth about him. I had a feeling he wasn't really telling the WHOLE truth in the Oprah interview and after seeing last week's 60 Minutes piece that was confirmed. Yet he's upset he won't be able to compete in sanctioned sports again. Boo frickin' hoo. |

I won't be able to watch that but I have to ask if she does this on purpose or is it just a weird by-product of having too many cats in the kitchen? Dear God I would never in my life guess I'd ask that question, but here I am.... |

Judged: 4 4 4 The show is/was a train wreck that I couldn't help but watch and enjoy. I looked at some of the pages about it and they are funny in their own right. The people on the show evidently grew up in the culture and live there but they aren't practicing Amish or a Mafia shaking down/protecting Amish and running illegal buggy races....and barn fights... One guy is Mennonite and can't be a made member because of that. Ya know- like the Italian mob and Sicilians... BUT, the characters insist they are for real. The producers do another show called "Breaking Amish" (?) that's been debunked as using actors. |

Judged: 2 2 2 I haven't seen the Chicago version yet but, no. I don't. My accent has been described as perfectly midwestern but that might have been before I polluted it by living down south. One of my brothers sounds like Chicago to me. IDK how that happened. |

Judged: 1 I watched the wrong one? Sheesh...well, I kind of wondered about it because there wasn't anything informative about it, like you guys were talking about. Can you tell me again which is the right one? I don't even know what a midwestern accent sounds like! Is that a sort of twangy, nasally sound? Like Gary Sinise? lol |

Judged: 2 2 2 You didn't watch "the wrong one". It's just new and I haven't seen it yet. I think Sinise is from here but I wouldn't say his accent is typical. I might have seen him on the street, back in the day. I woman friend of mine was an actress. We were going some place one night and she said hey to a guy in passing. Then she stops and she's all excited. She says: "Ferrerman- do you know who that was? That was So & So- the best actor in Chicago! He said 'hi' to me!" It coulda been Sinise or William Peterson. Malkovich even. All worked in Chicago at the time but, I think it was Peterson although none of the names meant anything to me at the time. |

Pawn Stars. As far as a Chicago accent, think gangster movies. Not like Gary Sinise. |

I think she only has a couple of cats and she does it on purpose. She believes it to be "a bonding experience with her cats". |
