It's because you don't understand the demography of Indonesia mister.<quoted text>
It must suck having a country which was only made just over 200 years ago and is already better in every way than your own. Doesn't that make you think " shit we must be really inferior if they can outdo us in that short time" or "how can such a small country like the Netherlands who still only has a population of around 16 million colonise us?". Of course you don't. Inferior monkeys...
Before the Dutch, there was no Indonesia. Nobody in the current islands of Indonesia refer to themselves as Indonesian. Before the Dutch there were individual kingdoms, tribes and groups that share the islands. They were not united. They were only united when the Dutch came and abolished the kingdoms and entities and make it one single entity called the Dutch East Indies.
Through shared experience, being slaves and forced labors, beingtransported out of their island to another then to another, people got to know each others tribes and lands. Those people realized the only way to get the colonizer out of each and every one of their lands or kingdoms is by joining force and exchanging information instead of each kingdom and tribes fighting the Dutch by themselves. So we did and we got Dutch out of Indonesia for good in the late 40s.
So you know, then, Indonesia was no larger than Netherlands because there was no Indonesia. Our population was not millions because a tribe or kingdom couldn't have that many people. We were only united in the 30s where by then all of the kingdoms in the Malay archipelago have already been conquered by the Dutch. The last being the Aceh Sultanate in northern Sumatra which is also one of the biggest, most influential and strongest of all kingdoms in the archipelago at the time and its size and population i'm sure is no bigger than Netherlands.
1128 tribes and 746 languages, do you think we were united 'Indoensia' form the get-go?
While you, 200 years ago you only consist of one people, one Anglo people migrating to Australia of course you're united. While even until now you're not even united with the Aborigines yet when the Bugis tribe of the archipelago have done so 400 years ago when we went to Aborigine land and traded with them and respected their lands. Even though they were more backward, even though we traded guns and weapons with the Chinese empires it never crossed our minds to invade Aborigine land because we're respectful like that.
