Downing the Bolivian Presidential Plane

Air Piracy Over Europe

by JOHN PILGER

Imagine the aircraft of the President of France being forced down in Latin America on “suspicion” that it was carrying a political refugee to safety – and not just any refugee but someone who has provided the people of the world with proof of criminal activity on an epic scale.

Imagine the response from Paris, let alone the “international community”, as the governments of the West call themselves. To a chorus of baying indignation from Whitehall to Washington, Brussels to Madrid, heroic special forces would be dispatched to rescue their leader and, as sport, smash up the source of such flagrant international gangsterism. Editorials would cheer them on, perhaps reminding readers that this kind of piracy was exhibited by the German Reich in the 1930s.

The forcing down of Bolivian President Evo Morales’s plane — denied air space by France, Spain and Portugal, followed by his 14-hour confinement while Austrian officials demanded to “inspect” his aircraft for the “fugitive” Edward Snowden — was an act of air piracy and state terrorism. It was a metaphor for the gangsterism that now rules the world and the cowardice and hypocrisy of bystanders who dare not speak its name.

In Moscow for a summit of gas-producing nations, Morales had been asked about Snowden who remains trapped in Moscow airport.“If there were a request [for political asylum],” he said,“of course, we would be willing to debate and consider the idea.” That was clearly enough provocation for the Godfather.“We have been in touch with a range of countries that had a chance of having Snowden land or travel through their country,” said a US state department official.

The French — having squealed about Washington spying on their every move, as revealed by Snowden — were first off the mark, followed by the Portuguese. The Spanish then did their bit by enforcing a flight ban of their airspace , giving the Godfather’s Viennese hirelings enough time to find out if Snowden was indeed invoking article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states:“Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.”

Those paid to keep the record straight have played their part with a cat-and-mouse media game that reinforces the Godfather’s lie that this heroic young man is running from a system of justice, rather than preordained, vindictive incarceration that amounts to torture: ask Bradley Manning and the living ghosts in Guantanamo.

Historians seem to agree that the rise of fascism in Europe might have been averted had the liberal or left political class understood the true nature of its enemy. The parallels today are very different; but the Damocles sword over Snowden, like the casual abduction of the Bolivian president, ought to stir us into recognising the true nature of the enemy.

Snowden’s revelations are not merely about privacy, nor civil liberty, nor even mass spying. They are about the unmentionable: that the democratic facades of the United States now barely conceal a systematic gangsterism historically identified with if not necessarily the same as fascism. On Tuesday, a US drone killed 16 people in North Waziristan,“where many of the world’s most dangerous militants live”, said the few paragraphs I read. That by far the world’s most dangerous militants had hurled the drones was not a consideration. President Obama personally sends them every Tuesday.

In his acceptance of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Literature, Harold Pinter referred to “a vast tapestry of lies, upon which we feed”. He asked why “the systematic brutality, the widespread atrocities” of the Soviet Union were well known in the West while America’s crimes were “superficially recorded, let alone documented, let alone acknowledged”. The most enduring silence of the modern era covered the extinction and dispossession of countless human beings by a rampant America and its agents.“But you wouldn’t know it,” said Pinter.“It never happened. Even while it was happening it never happened. It didn’t matter. It was of no interest.”

This hidden history – not really hidden, of course, but excluded from the consciousness of societies drilled in American myths and priorities – has never been more vulnerable to exposure. Edward Snowden’s whistleblowing, like that of Bradley Manning and Julian Assange and WikiLeaks, threatens to break the silence Pinter described. In revealing a vast Orwellian police state apparatus servicing history’s greatest war-making machine, they illuminate the true extremism of the 21st century. Unprecedented, Germany’s Der Spiegel has described the Obama administration as “soft totalitarianism”. If the penny is finally falling, we might all look closer to home.

John Pilger’s film on Australia, Utopia, will be released in the autumn.

Your so boring and off topic, you believe and cut and paste this stuff like MUQ does - as tho it is interesting or correct.
The west is a literally a universe of information & opinions, not like your shallow and empty
world. So selective half truths and these stale old conspiracy theories are really only something a naive shallow uneducated muslim would ever believe or post..
The real world is far more complex and sophisticated than you have comprehension for.
Your making a fool of yourself like MUQ does when you post this stuff - and I'm only saying this because perhaps no one else is kind enough to tell you..

Let's see.
• In Egypt was the MB funded by and a proxy for Saudi Wahhabi/salafi imperialist islamic ambition that has now resulted in the Egyptian people revolting against that and now their army stepping in with a coup d'état ?
Or is it a all a Zionist andwestern plot ?
-
• Did the king of Jordan sell out the west bank jordanians and after a civil war in Jordan, did he then evict these 'trouble makers with their false claims (his words) to lebanon. Did Saudi and others funding 'these trouble makers' refuse them entry and forced them to become stateless refugees ?
Or was it all a Zionist plot ?
-
Haven't the Bakri (Sunni) and Shia sects of Islam been at war since the 3 assasination attempts and then the actual murder of Muhammad and then his selected heir, by the Bakri tribe ?
Or was it all a zionist plot ?

MUQ here is you chance to tell the truth.
It will feel strange and perhaps a little uncomfortable at first, but over time it will become your friend.

The wild west volatility AND radicalism are clearly shuffled out, as IS, in displaying the irrationality chaos in US.

When this is not just about Snowden matters, the volatility radicalism is specifically lacking the regard for proper human acts, demonstrating that such people live without getting acts together, to actualize the confirmation of conformance by obeying ruling, rules, regulations, instructions.

In other words, the example is that you think you can chase your ex-spouse to any corner of the world to the end of time, when he/she took your computer away containing some files of your business, to be with other land and people.

The reason your spouse left you is because he/she said you were a gangster doing wrong to a lot of people and the society to make money. Your ex-spouse has no more belief in you and wants to be with people with genuine value. That you say taking your property of computer away is theft. You say you have a big force and lot of gang members and will send them to chase your ex-spouse back from wherever he/she has gone to.

Between the appraisal of taking the computer away like theft, to the standpoint of doing bad as a gangster, there is no such case of stealing computer over-weighs the ugliness of being the very bad gangster. As you think that some people might want the files of your gangster business model that your ex-spouse would give them, but that could not be the case as people think gangster business is very wrong and don't want your model.

In such a way, US spying on world is worse than Snowden 's telling snooping with possession of computers. Do you think that is the intellectual property as snooping (as what Snowden took) that people of the world want?

But the paradox is the disregard to ruling, rules and regulations. These examples are still going on as the wild west way of old times with no viable process to reason out matters and issues, like Bush's radicalism with no boundary of anything by forcing out UN inspection by breaking the procedure standpoint of acting on forced invasion of Iraq.

As US thinks it is a big force, it would do whatever to incite on others to get Snowden, like using the CIA to tell Spain to do about airplane flying to Bolivia.
What is wrong is so wrong. Countries like Spain have no rights to detour airplane to Bolivia because of Snowden, but they should act like Russia. Besides, they don't know the real truth and true facts without witnessing. They cannot always listen to propagandas as they should look at the good, the corrupted, the bad and the ugly (gangsters are bad and ugly) to base on, to operate for good.

No more wild west disorderly acts to the world can go on, as that will make lots of bad troubles, for all these are fouls and wrong. People have to realize what are wrongs.
It is what is right versus what is so wrong (as wrong-doings), in retrospect, that recognition of these aspects needs operative enactment in the affirmation of the confirmation of conformance by obeying ruling, rules, regulations, instructions throughout the world.

US Democrats are same and alike right now to FORMER BUSH's way of doing, on the Snowden case, whereas Obama operates on such, which can violate International regulations, arena and rules, as being unlawful, in the appearance of exercising extremism continual radicalism, while the world that looks upon is a bigger new world.

The Permanent Militarization of America

By AARON B. O’CONNELL

Contd.

Like all institutions, the military works to enhance its public image, but this is just one element of militarization. Most of the political discourse on military matters comes from civilians, who are more vocal about “supporting our troops” than the troops themselves. It doesn’t help that there are fewer veterans in Congress today than at any previous point since World War II. Those who have served are less likely to offer unvarnished praise for the military, for it, like all institutions, has its own frustrations and failings. But for non-veterans — including about four-fifths of all members of Congress — there is only unequivocal, unhesitating adulation. The political costs of anything else are just too high.

For proof of this phenomenon, one need look no further than the continuing furor over sequestration — the automatic cuts, evenly divided between Pentagon and nonsecurity spending, that will go into effect in January if a deal on the debt and deficits isn’t reached. As Bob Woodward’s latest book reveals, the Obama administration devised the measure last year to include across-the-board defense cuts because it believed that slashing defense was so unthinkable that it would make compromise inevitable.

But after a grand budget deal collapsed, in large part because of resistance from House Republicans, both parties reframed sequestration as an attack on the troops (even though it has provisions that would protect military pay). The fact that sequestration would also devastate education, health and programs for children has not had the same impact.

Eisenhower understood the trade-offs between guns and butter.“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed,” he warned in 1953, early in his presidency.“The cost of one modern heavy bomber is this: a modern brick school in more than 30 cities. It is two electric power plants, each serving a town of 60,000 population. It is two fine, fully equipped hospitals. It is some 50 miles of concrete highway. We pay for a single fighter plane with a half million bushels of wheat. We pay for a single destroyer with new homes that could have housed more than 8,000 people.”

He also knew that Congress was a big part of the problem.(In earlier drafts, he referred to the “military-industrial-Congressi onal” complex, but decided against alienating the legislature in his last days in office.) Today, there are just a select few in public life who are willing to question the military or its spending, and those who do — from the libertarian Ron Paul to the leftist Dennis J. Kucinich — are dismissed as unrealistic.

The fact that both President Obama and Mitt Romney are calling for increases to the defense budget (in the latter case, above what the military has asked for) is further proof that the military is the true “third rail” of American politics. In this strange universe where those without military credentials can’t endorse defense cuts, it took a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Adm. Mike Mullen, to make the obvious point that the nation’s ballooning debt was the biggest threat to national security.

Uncritical support of all things martial is quickly becoming the new normal for our youth. Hardly any of my students at the Naval Academy remember a time when their nation wasn’t at war. Almost all think it ordinary to hear of drone strikes in Yemen or Taliban attacks in Afghanistan. The recent revelation of counterterrorism bases in Africa elicits no surprise in them, nor do the military ceremonies that are now regular features at sporting events. That which is left unexamined eventually becomes invisible, and as a result, few Americans today are giving sufficient consideration to the full range of violent activities the government undertakes in their names.

Were Eisenhower alive, he’d be aghast at our debt, deficits and still expanding military-industrial complex. And he would certainly be critical of the “insidious penetration of our minds” by video game companies and television networks, the news media and the partisan pundits. With so little knowledge of what Eisenhower called the “lingering sadness of war” and the “certain agony of the battlefield,” they have done as much as anyone to turn the hard work of national security into the crass business of politics and entertainment.

Aaron B. O’Connell, an assistant professor of history at the United States Naval Academy and a Marine reserve officer, is the author of “Underdogs: The Making of the Modern Marine Corps.”

A Russian government official bragged that Barack Obama was a KGB operative and that his presidency had been planned since birth, an American physicist and government contractor reports. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
This because Morsi and his Russian controlled Muslim brotherhood are preparing to run into Israel and take over half of the City of Jerusalem.
Russia just cleaned out Syria of all Russian personal = pre war move. Israel prepares for major drill on Golan heights border. DEBKAfiles Video today said they will butt heads in Syria until late August.(= Sept 11 war.- Lharmen)
June 25 - The markets will continue to crash and Sept 11 may be their war date it comes at a time we least expect it and it will take that long to bring the Whole world to it's knees from Ben Bernanke's statement that by year end 2013 no more money printing for propping up the markets (through debt purchasing). It will take this long for Global protests to erupt as has been the Satanic illuminati plan from the start = Total Chaos Globally as their Satan worshipping Saying is Order out of Chaos. Russia is filling Syria with weapons for the coming war and Israel gets attacked by Gog the/Russian Northern army. So war is unfolding 2 1/2 months until Sept 11th. Kerry is in Israel in 2 days for peace talks and many are saying Geneva II will not be held in July but delayed farther.

LONDON: A mainstream British TV channel said Tuesday it would broadcast the Muslim call to prayer throughout the fasting month of Ramadan.

From July 9, Channel 4 will cut into its schedule to show the three-minute call to prayer, or Azaan, live.

The channel's decision comes as Britain is experiencing community tensions in the wake of the brutal murder of a British soldier.

Two Muslim converts have been charged with the murder.

The number of attacks on Muslims rose sharply after the killing in May and several mosques have been targeted.

As well as on television, Channel 4 viewers will be able to watch the call to prayer on the station's website, where it will play automatically at prayer times throughout the day.

A series of Ramadan-themed programmes will also be shown, starting on July 8.Ralph Lee, head of factual programming at Channel 4, said:“The calls to prayer prompt Muslims to carry out quiet moments of worship, but hopefully they'll also make other viewers sit up and notice that this event is taking place.”
