No one would expect them to do otherwise (sit tight until we leave).

HAD Obama NOT told of US plans to withdraw, there would be every reason to think that al-Qaida would keep FIGHTING in the hope they could prevail (meaning more risk, more death, more sacrifice on their part).

But now they know we are leaving, so they just have to sit tight until we leave.

it should be done long time ago. There are no reasons to occupy and invade this poor country and poor people more
