"Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir's remarks seemed to be aimed chiefly at addressing that criticism.

"'The Pakistan security forces are neither incompetent nor negligent about their sacred duty to protect Pakistan'..."

To protect Pakistan from Al-Q, or America?

Any more bin laden type raids implies there's someone like bin laden to raid. As the goose that laid the golden aid is dead it appears Pak is looking around or for another bogey man or creating one.

World should be on the look out for a spectacular courtesy of ISI - blamed on an Afghan farmer no doubt.

I wonder if there is any symbolism in the fact that bin Laden settled down in Abbot(abad).

I thought at first that Pak had let us get him as part of a deal, then I read that the helicopters used are undetectable by radar. Still, they make a lot of noise.

"disastrous consequences"?

For Pakistan maybe......another U.S. raid would only make them look inept and incompetent than they already do now.

I swear....its like watching the keystone kops.

And they have nukes???

These people need some serious adult supervision.

Pakistan is survived only by the free money that Amercia gives every month to the tune of 6 billion dollars. Warning Amercia of "Disastrous consequences" will make Pakistan killing the goose that lays golden eggs.

Hello, Ex Muslim.

I believe Pakistan know what they did, and now they're trying to warn the US of bad consequences if the US were to find anymore terrorists hiding in their nation.

I think we shouldn't give them money at all. If the US is a country that shows tough love to other nations, then let Pakistan figure out how much they depend on the US and what the consequences would be if they struck at the US.

more: "then I read that the helicopters used are undetectable by radar. Still, they make a lot of noise."

Really. I didn't know we had stealth helicopters. I don't think the noise was an alarm because there was a military installation nearby and helicopters were always coming and going.
