What's this Assad's army mudering unarmed citizens? Anjother 100 dead? I would never have guessed that Saint Assad would allow his army to the take of lives of fellow Syrians. At least he has at least a half dozen supporters here on this website who will cheer him.

Up to 500 killed in Damascus massacre.
The supporters of the evil Syrian dictator will be overjoyed with the latest massacre of civilians.

According to witness accounts interviewed by the Syrian organisation, water and electricity were cut off from the town and residents were not allowed to leave as Assad's forces blocked ways in and out of the suburbs.
Then Assad forces started the massacre.
Evil Syrian regime is doomed.

Yeah I agree. You can't continue to fight a war by killing all your local population. Bit like the old saying "hearts and minds" thing. The people are continually reminded why this uprising started in the first place.

"Rebels who numbered around 300, withdrew two days before the killings, opposition activists said, leaving Assad's forces in total control."
.
.
Well, if the opposition said it, it must be true.

But, one thing I don't understand.

If there were 300 rebels there and they knew that Assad would brutally murder everyone in this Sunni town, why wouldn't they stay to protect the civilians?

Smells pretty fishy to me.

What likely happened as more news emerges *-*
Is that *-* the rebels on leaving murdered these defenceless people , to incite hatred towards the Government forces.
Assuming their killing was execution style.

What I ask is +++++

The rebels moved out the time lapsed ,
Who took the photos .
Surely if there was an orderly take over and the victims did suffer summary justice it wouldn't go on display.
And the victims would have disappeared like so many others.
The Government wants all Syrians to trust them .
This probably is the work of the propaganda wing of al-Nusra.
