Remember Frankie, Dodd/Frank is only a small band aid on a cancer.

They should have reinstated Glass/Steagall and stronger regulations so the Banks cannot steal again like they did in Oct. 1929.

John McCain’s friend Fred Dalton Thompson : enabled S & L crisis of '80s
Please spread the word....this is not the type of man we want as President.
In 1975, Thompson began his eighteen year engagement as a lobbyist in Washington, D.C., eventually representing clients including Westinghouse, General Electric (the current corporate owner of the NBC Universal-NBC television network), Westinghouse used to own CBS TV and the Tennessee Savings and Loan League

By 1982, Thompson worked the U.S. Congress membership as a lobbyist for passage of the Savings and Loan deregulation legislation desired by the Tennessee Savings and Loan League --- in this case, federal deregulation legislation allowing for additional government support of ailing S&Ls; giving U.S. thrifts the freedom to invest in potentially more profitable, but riskier, ventures; and eliminating interest-rate ceilings on new accounts to increase S&Ls' competitiveness.

Enacted into law during in September 1982, the Senate bill pushed by Thompson was incorporated into the Garn - St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982.
The Garn - St Germain Depository Institutions Act of 1982 is widely credited with having laid the groundwork for the U.S. Savings and Loan crisis of the late 1980s

The savings and loans crashes of the 1980s, themselves directly the result of Reagan’s deregulation of the banking industry, is more interesting because of how it reflects the rapacious nature of unbridled capitalism than of Neil Bush himself. Who by the way, is now embroiled in another scam with his latest venture, educational software, Ignite
(turnover $20 million, much of it from educational subsidies obtained in the state of Florida ,where,‘coincidentally’ of course, his bro Jeb Bush, was governor).

Government Bailouts: A U.S. Tradition Dating to Hamilton
SEPTEMBER 20, 2008 / http://tinyurl.com/ygk788s
The bubble pops. Lenders freeze. Depositors lose faith. Panic spreads. And the government steps in because nobody else will.
Today it is Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke putting together the rescue package for a financial system rocked by falling home prices and a wave of defaults on subprime mortgages.
But a short walk through U.S. history demonstrates the point made by Alex J. Pollock of the American Enterprise Institute: "If you would like an empirical law of government behavior, it is that in a panic or threatened financial collapse, governments intervene -- every government, every party, every country, every time."

What they say to the public is just for public propaganda and what they really do helps only the super rich.
I heard that most of the senators and assembly members who drafted the Health Insurance Bill during the time of GWB the great, resigned and joined these Big Medical Insurance forms at Multi Dollar pay package.
They were "moles" inserted into the Political system by these Big Corporation.
USA is what they call "Capitalist" country and most of laws help only these Super Rich people.
When would USA be a Free Country is debatable.
Bottom Line MUQ, Republicans are Gangsters and Democrats are Racketeers who all prostitute themselves to Wall Street, and the corporate mainstream media / corporate Rightwing Media go merrily along with the program.

Some of the most influential aides in the closed-door Senate Finance Committee negotiations over health care reform have ties to interests that would be directly affected by the legislation.
Before she was hired last year as senior counsel to Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont.), Liz Fowler worked as a highly paid public policy adviser for WellPoint Inc., the nation’s largest publicly traded health benefits company.
Mark Hayes, health policy director and chief health counsel for Finance Committee ranking member Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), is married to a registered lobbyist for a firm that represents drug companies and hospital groups, although the couple says she doesn’t lobby Grassley’s office.
Frederick Isasi, a health policy adviser to Sen. Jeff Bingaman (D-N.M.), was a registered lobbyist at Powell Goldstein, where his clients included public hospitals and the American Stroke Association.
Kate Spaziani, senior health policy aide to Sen. Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), was also a registered lobbyist at Powell Goldstein, although Conrad’s office says she worked as a lawyer — not as a lobbyist — for public hospitals on Medicare issues.

Al Qaeda has become a "Catch Word" in Western Media.
No one knows if any such organization exists or not.
Any one any every one can claim that he or she is a Member of Al Qaeda and "people" (by people I mean Media) accepts it on face value.
No question need be asked as to "How do you claim Al Qaeda membership, since your Boss is dead and no one knows who is the next boos".
Western Media need enemy, any type of enemy, to pump up their populations.
Now Al Qaeda has become "blame all" fall guy.
No one knows who is fighting with the Govt. in Syria. There is some loose organization of every one who is affected by the atrocities of the present Syrian Govt.
But to western media, they all are Al Qaeda Members, what can I say?
GWB the Great was an idiot, and the harm which he did to USA would take at least 100 years to heal.
The aim to attack Iraq was to remove a "potential enemy " of Israel. I don’t know if he cared who was ruling Iraq, Shia or Sunni.
And if you ask him what is difference between Shia and Sunni, he would reply "Who cares"? They are Muslims, why should I know or care whom we are killing!!
Such people are "Fit" to become US Presidents and rule Iraq by US laws!!
al Qaeda & Jihad Philosophy are loosely connected around the world.

Ayman al-Zawahiri is a radical Muslim and close friend to Usama bin Laden.

You are correct, the corporate mainstream media tells half-trues and propaganda, and the corporate Rightwing media is even worse.

Iraq was not that important to Israel like Iran is.

Saddam kept mostly to himself and was a secular Muslim whom Usama bin Laden despised.

Iran/Hezbollah and Hamas are always very active against Israel.

Bush was an Imbecile but Obama is continuing a very high percentage of all Bush/Cheney policy.

The Constitution 101:

In the Federalist Papers it said: We were not going to have a monarchy, and we were not going to have a democracy.$$$$$$$

And to this day we have neither. For two hundred years we have had an oligarchical system in which men of property can do well (Dumbya Bush), and others are on their own.$$$$$$$

American politics is essentially a family affair, as are most oligarchies. When the father of the Constitution, James Madison, was asked how on earth any business could get done in Congress when the country contained 100 million people whose representatives would number half a thousand, Madison took the line that oligarchy's iron law always obtains: A few people invariably run the show; and keep it, if they can, in the family.$$$$$$$

Our founding fathers had such a fear and loathing of democracy that they invented the Electoral College so that the popular voice of the people could be throttled, much as the Supreme Court throttled the Floridians on December 12, 2000.$$$$$$$

We were to be neither a democracy, subject to majoritarian tyranny, nor a dictatorship, subject to Caesarean folly.$$$$$$$

As American media is controlled by that corporate America which provides us with political candidates a well-informed electorate is not possible.$$$$$$$

"The two greatest obstacles to democracy in the United States are, first, the widespread delusion among the poor that we have a democracy, and second, the chronic terror among the rich, lest we get it."

Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.

Henry Kissinger: "If You Can't Hear the Drums of War You Must Be Deaf"

By Alfred Heinz

February 15, 2013 "Information Clearing House" - NEW YORK - USA - In a remarkable admission by former Nixon era Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, reveals what is happening at the moment in the world and particularly the Middle East.

Speaking from his luxurious Manhattan apartment, the elder statesman, who will be 89 in May, is all too forward with his analysis of the current situation in the world forum of Geo-politics and economics.
"The United States is baiting China and Russia, and the final nail in the coffin will be Iran, which is, of course, the main target of Israel. We have allowed China to increase their military strength and Russia to recover from Sovietization, to give them a false sense of bravado, this will create an all together faster demise for them.

We're like the sharp shooter daring the noob to pick up the gun, and when they try, it's bang bang. The coming war will will be so severe that only one superpower can win, and that's us folks. This is why the EU is in such a hurry to form a complete superstate because they know what is coming, and to survive, Europe will have to be one whole cohesive state. Their urgency tells me that they know full well that the big showdown is upon us. O how I have dreamed of this delightful moment."

"Control oil and you control nations; control food and you control the people."

Mr Kissinger then added: "If you are an ordinary person, then you can prepare yourself for war by moving to the countryside and building a farm, but you must take guns with you, as the hordes of starving will be roaming. Also, even though the elite will have their safe havens and specialist shelters, they must be just as careful during the war as the ordinary civilians, because their shelters can still be compromised."

After pausing for a few minutes to collect his thoughts, Mr Kissinger, carried on: "We told the military that we would have to take over seven Middle Eastern countries for their resources and they have nearly completed their job. We all know what I think of the military, but I have to say they have obeyed orders superfluously this time. It is just that last stepping stone, i.e. Iran which will really tip the balance.

2. Agreed, I but what I may lack in calculus I make up for in smartassery...speaking of which... you mya want ot recalucalate your number to 0.1% PLUS 6 more muslim terrorists...

Ans.

1. I can ask the same question with you, has there been even a day of "crime free living" in any part of Christian, Hindu, Buddhist or any other religious group.

Muslims did enjoy long periods of peaceful living when they were ruling the world for many centuries.

2. Muslims number almost 1.5 Billion in the world today an d 0.1 % of them would be 1.5 Million.

Just count the number of so called Muslim terrorists and see if they are above or below this limit?

I mean actual people who have taken part in terrorist activities, not the counting heads in different groups.

It would be even less than 01 %!!

Today's Obumble update:
The US is pretty sure someone has used chemical weapons in Syria—but it's not sure who, President Obama revealed at a White House press conference today, at which he invited reporters to ask him questions on whatever they pleased. "What we now have is evidence that chemical weapons have been used in Syria," Obama said, according to the Guardian's liveblog. "We don't know how they were used, when they were used, who used them." He said he wanted to avoid "rushing to judgment without hard effective evidence."

Obama also said that, while chemical weapon use is indeed a "game-changer," that didn't necessarily mean war. "By game-changer I mean we would have to rethink the range of options that are available to us."

Other tidbits from the press conference:

When asked about the hunger strike at Guantanamo Bay, Obama promised to try again to close the prison. "It is not a surprise to me that we've got problems in Guantanamo," he said. "I'm gonna go back at this. I'm going to reengage with Congress."
...I BELIEVE this time Frankie, how aboooot u?

Obama defended authorities for not catching all the warning signs about one of the alleged Boston Marathon bombers. "It's not like the FBI did nothing," Obama said, according to WLWT, pointing out that they both investigated and interviewed Tamerlan Tsarnaev.
...Don't sell yourself short Mr. OBumble...it IS like they did nothing...and people died because of it...

He said he was "very proud" of Jason Collins, the now openly gay NBA player, saying it was "a great thing" for gay young people "to see a role model like that." Further, "this is just one more step in the recognition that we treat everybody fairly."
Amazing...Obumble's only shining moment in this dreary press conference...congratulating a queer...wow!

Asked if he still had the "juice" to get his agenda passed, he joked, "Maybe I should just pack up and go home! As Mark Twain said, rumors of my demise might be a bit exaggerated at this point."
...What? Quit early?...oh..he was just kidding? Crap...
