When they rolled away that heavy, heavy, heavy stone and went in they found that 'the war is not over' was still dead.

He did the same too me last year.

I truly believe it is a spiritual thing that all humans struggle with.

Happy Easter / Resurrection Sunday to you and all my friends on topix.

THANKS OBUMBLE...
Despite the 6.5% stock market rally over the last three months, a handful of billionaires are quietly dumping their American stocks ... and fast.
Warren Buffett, who has been a cheerleader for U.S. stocks for quite some time, is dumping shares at an alarming rate. He recently complained of “disappointing performance” in dyed-in-the-wool American companies like Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Kraft Foods.
In the latest filing for Buffett’s holding company Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett has been drastically reducing his exposure to stocks that depend on consumer purchasing habits. Berkshire sold roughly 19 million shares of Johnson & Johnson, and reduced his overall stake in “consumer product stocks” by 21%. Berkshire Hathaway also sold its entire stake in California-based computer parts supplier Intel.
With 70% of the U.S. economy dependent on consumer spending, Buffett’s apparent lack of faith in these companies’ future prospects is worrisome.
Unfortunately Buffett isn’t alone.
Fellow billionaire John Paulson, who made a fortune betting on the subprime mortgage meltdown, is clearing out of U.S. stocks too. Finally, billionaire George Soros recently sold nearly all of his bank stocks, including shares of JPMorgan Chase, Citigroup, and Goldman Sachs. Between the three banks, Soros sold more than a million shares.
So why are these billionaires dumping their shares of U.S. companies?
After all, the stock market is still in the midst of its historic rally. Real estate prices have finally leveled off, and for the first time in five years are actually rising in many locations. And the unemployment rate seems to have stabilized.
It’s very likely that these professional investors are aware of specific research that points toward a massive market correction, as much as 90%.
One such person publishing this research is Robert Wiedemer, an esteemed economist and author of the New York Times best-selling book Aftershock.
“Once you hit 10% inflation, 10-year Treasury bonds lose about half their value. And by 20%, any value is all but gone. Interest rates will increase dramatically at this point, and that will cause real estate values to collapse. And the stock market will collapse as a consequence of these other problems.”
And this is where Wiedemer explains why Buffett, Paulson, and Soros could be dumping U.S. stocks:
“Companies will be spending more money on borrowing costs than business expansion costs. That means lower profit margins, lower dividends, and less hiring. Plus, more layoffs.”
No investors, let alone billionaires, will want to own stocks with falling profit margins and shrinking dividends. So if that’s why Buffett, Paulson, and Soros are dumping stocks, they have decided to cash out early and leave Main Street investors holding the bag.
Send your thank-you letter to Bush.

Today, Google chose to honor legendary labor leader Cesar Chavez with one of their Google Doodles because it's his birthday. On most days, the move wouldn't stir up much controversy. But this time, some conservative sites are questioning the tech giant's decision to recognize the labor leader and not the Easter holiday, which falls on the same day. Of course, twitchy FAUX News felt insulted by the doodle.

"Better a dead lefty, them a risen Lord," quips one of brain-dead news commentators, yep, while two billion Christians around the world celebrate Easter Sunday on this 31st day of March, Google is using its famous "Doodle" search logo art to mark the birth of left-wing labor leader Cesar Chavez."

We should honor GWB the Great by wasting Trillions of US Dollars, damaging the US industry and US relations with almost every country of the world.

How, can one honor such a great guy?

Is there a way in which US citizens could express their proper gratitude to this Great person?

I think there is.

Every Citizen of USA should pelt his / her show at GWB the Great, either on his person, or on his photo, or throw it on the house he lives.

Best way could be to each person pelt this great person, with shoe!!....that is small gratitude for doing so much damage to the name, honor and economy and world leadership of USA!!

Another religious MYTH destroyed...along with moons splitting and flat earthers...now the gates of hell uncovered...

As far as archaeological discoveries go, it's a darker one: Pluto's Gate—aka, the fabled gate to the underworld—has reportedly been unearthed in Turkey. The team behind the dig made the announcement last month, and ANSA and Discovery report on the finding and the Greco-Roman mythology behind the portal: Cicero and Greek geographer Strabo made reference to the entryway to Hell in their writings, and placed it in the ancient city of Hierapolis. As Strabo explained of the cave opening, which spewed noxious vapors, "Any animal that passes inside meets instant death. I threw in sparrows and they immediately breathed their last and fell."

Italian archaeologist Francesco D'Andria has been examining Hierapolis for years (he formerly claimed he found one of the 12 apostles' tombs there). This time around, he explains his team found the portal "by reconstructing the route of a thermal spring" to the cave; he was also able to identify the ruins of a temple, pool, and steps—from which pagan pilgrims would watch sacred rites performed at the portal's opening—referenced in descriptions of the cave. "We could see the cave's lethal properties during the excavation," he says. "Several birds died as they tried to get close to the warm opening, instantly killed by the carbon dioxide fumes."

It’s contemptible to hear our President and members of the legislature argue the fine points of gun control when they go about attacking defenseless and poor countries, murdering hundreds of thousands of people under the phony excuse of national security with weapons of mass destruction ranging from cluster bombs to depleted uranium missiles and chemicals that literally disintegrate flesh and bones to ash as witnessed at Fallujah, Iraq,“Go massive!” Donald Rumsfeld cheered,“Sweep it all up. Things related and not,” while Dick Cheney and his associates drooled over the sadistic methods of torture that he ordered against a people who did absolutely nothing to the United States.

Is that your criteria...as long as they don't do anything to the US let it ride? If that is the case why is the Obumble drone and murder program interfering in Syria and Libya?

The American consumer based economy is faltering because consumers, in the most common jobs, work for low wages! America has more retail salespeople than Kentucky has citizens. It's also enough retail sales jobs to employ every man, woman and child in Wyoming, Vermont, Washington, D.C., North Dakota, Alaska and South Dakota combined. That's not necessarily surprising in an economy in which roughly 65% of the 6 million jobs added since the recession have been low wage. The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced that as of last May, the American retail salespeople at Wal-Mart, Target, Home Depot, Lowe's and elsewhere have the most common job in the country. Nationwide, 4.3 million retail salespeople are making an average of $25,000, or well below the annual mean wage of $45,790. The fast food industry employs around 3.5 million workers and pays minimum wage – while CEOs receive millions in bonuses!

Iraq, Afghanistan Wars Will Cost U.S. 4-6 Trillion Dollars: Report
WASHINGTON, Mar 30 2013 / http://tinyurl.com/btmpjqj
(IPS)- Costs to U.S. taxpayers of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan will run between four and six trillion dollars, making them the most expensive conflicts in U.S. history, according to a new report by a prominent Harvard University researcher.
While Washington has already spent close to two trillion dollars in direct costs related to its military campaigns in the two countries, that total “represents only a fraction of the total war costs”, according to the report by former Bill Clinton administration official Linda Bilmes.
“The single largest accrued liability of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is the cost of providing medical care and disability benefits to war veterans,” she wrote in the 21-page report,‘The Financial Legacy of Iraq and Afghanistan: How Wartime Spending Decisions Will Constrain Future National Security Budgets’.

The predatory gun industry is the only unregulated manufacturer of a consumer product that is specifically made to kill, with a level of secrecy that makes the tobacco industry look like a model of transparency. The real story behind the steady rise in gun violence in America, argues is the systematic increase in lethality of guns by manufacturers. Over the last two decades the gun industry has dramatically increased the killing power of its products; designed and distributed guns with more ammunition and greater conceal-ability; and aggressively sought to build a wider market by collaborating with the "gun-media" and by targeting women and minorities as vital new consumers.
