Nobody will take that nut seriously after all the war mongering he has done recently, not just in Syria, but also in Egypt and beyond. So let's skip over him now.
What is more important is the Christian community leadership has issued a call to stop arming the rats. I think that is a major development. Also, Syria is and has always been a multi-sect country. That is why Baath Party ideology has been so successful and so appealing. Like Iraq and Egypt The Baath Party appeals to non-Muslims. Were the rats to come to power, they would do similarly to what Morsi did in Egypt and try to set up a one sect dictatorship. Al-Assad may have his faults. But he is not a one-sect dictator.
