Duh, my stocks are doing great. Thanks for your concern. Those of us on Main Street who invested are reaping our rewards. Too bad for you if you didn't.

What we need now is a second BIGGER sequester.

President Obama is finally whipping our country's fiscal mess into shape and the stock market is going gang-busters.

Oh, you unpatriotic 99%ers are NEVER HAPPY. Take a soaring stock market and beotch because people are getting richer. Stop whining, get a job, and start investing. Those who predicted the crash of 2008 know we're all going to do great with Obama. Get on board or get out of the way, whiner!

Like the "Chief Calligrapher," Patricia A. Blair, who has an annual salary of $96,725, and her two deputies, Debra S. Brown, who gets paid $85,953 per year, and Richard T. Muffler, who gets paid $94,372 every year.
In all, the White House appears to employ 3 calligraphers for a yearly total of $277,050.
Despite sequestration, there's been no announcement of the White House scaling back on calligraphers.
they could be replaced by a $37.50 Canon injet printer...

<quoted text>Congressman Offers Amendment Defunding Obama’s Golf

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-Texas) introduced an amendment to the fast-moving continuing resolution spending bill that would bar funding for President Obama’s golf outings until the White House reopens for public tours.
Gohmert, who announced his amendment from the floor of the House, said Americans, whether Republicans or Democrats, will be greatly disappointed to come to Washington and not be able to get their tours of the White House. Many tours are planned well in advance.
Figures you'd salute the idiocy of your fellow idiot Gohmert, perhaps the stupidest man in Congress (and that's saying something). Texas appointed the biggest dumbass they could find to that seat and sent him to Washington for his amusement value, apparently.

LOL!

It's telling that to you, the two big takeaways from the current economic mess apparently are:

1. I'm doing fine, screw everybody else, and

2. We need to cut more spending and send the economy back into recession.

Wow. Enjoy your ill-gotten wealth, capitalist stooge.

Incidentally, the fake outrage over White House calligraphers (sure, use an inkjet, we don't have to have nice announcements for Presidential events or anything) comes from the far-right extremist source I like to call the Weakly Standard.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/chief-whi...

Funny, don't remember this sense of outrage when the Bush's had their announcements prepared by calligraphers in the wake of the 2001 recession, or during the War on Terror, or anything like that. Wonder why it's cropping up NOW, huh?

Heh

White House soup of the day is Tomato Basil. That's also what I'm having with grill cheese fried in olive oil and a little butter.

My tomato soup is coming out of a can, "Harvest Tomato with Basil" by Campbells. Weeeeee Weeeeee. Obama has a personal chief, all presidents do. I wish I had a personal chief that I could call 24/7 and get what ever I wanted.

You should run for president, but then you'd have to give up your lucrative government-subsidized job as a lobbyist propagandist outside the beltway.

WASHINGTON (CBSDC/AP)— The Obama administration has incorrectly stated on three separate occasions the effect of the $85 billion in sequester cuts.

CBS News reports that the statements came over the past 10 days.

The first time came Feb. 24 when Secretary of Education Arne Duncan said on “Face the Nation” that teachers were getting fired because of the cuts.

“There are literally teachers now who are getting pink slips, who are getting notices that they can’t come back this fall,” Duncan said. He later backtracked, saying he “misspoke” when no evidence was found to his claim.

When President Obama held a press conference about the sequester cuts on Friday, the president said that janitors at the U.S. Capitol would have to receive a pay cut. CBS News reports that Carlos Elias, the superintendent of the U.S. Capitol building and the Capitol Visitors Center, had to email his employees after Obama’s statement saying it wasn’t true.

Then, this past Monday, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said that lines at airports grew by 200 percent at checkpoint lines, but those claims were also unfounded.

Despite the misstatements, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney says there are efforts “to muddy” the facts of what the sequester cuts mean.

I am just 14 miles outside of the "Beltway", while you live in some pohick village. Oink Oink

Now you all know I'm a Pig, it is what it is. My fav GF of all times left me a few months ago, so Piggy is kinda horny. New liver and all. I'm raring to go. Weeeeeee Weeeee. Local hospitals are asking for volunteers to drive nurses and doctors to and from work.{My Jeep is a beast.} I'm thinking this is a great way to meet some nurses and maybe get laid.
