The support for warrantless surveillance is scary. I don't really care if Google takes a picture of me walking on the street but I do care if governments block access to their countries based on what I might post here or on facebook.
And Guantanamo is a national disaster and embarrassment to the US and what it SUPPOSEDLY stands for. The remaining people in there should be tried immediately, EVEN if there is some perception of a security compromise due to a public trial. Habeas Corpus, according to the US Constitution, is only to be suspended in a national state of emergency. Even 2011 and Pearl Harbour were not national emergencies in a legal sense; they were attacks. And Lincoln's suspending Habeas Corpus in the War Between the States was even controversial.
These omissions prove one of two things: either Obama is too wimpy to take a strong stance; or his security advisors have somehow convinced him that a massive terror attack on the scale of a nuclear war is happening. I'll still vote (absentee) for him, but I am not happy with this.
