You are all condemned men. We keep you alive to serve this ship. So row well, and live.

..... For any economy in any country to be healthy there must be always, over the long run, sufficient spending. And to do that there must be ways to get enough money to spend. That is the problem; how to get all that money in total per unit time without printing it? Even trees stop growing, and eventually there must be a stop to increasing debts.

the average job ,is mOre about feeding ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENTS, to the tune of 40 to 50 percent of your income and time.not to mention all the credit you need to FILL IN THE HOLES IN YOUR CHECK..add in all the fees, premiums and costs ..........In 1960 middle-income Americans paid less than 30 percent of their earnings in local, state, and federal taxes; today that figure is up to 40 percent.[1] Furthermore, many middle- and upper-income families living in the states that have the highest taxes, such as New York and California, pay nearly half their incomes in taxes. High taxes reflect the growth of government, at all levels, in the United States since World War II.[2]
