No need to make more federal income tax payers. Perhaps a need for more tax revenue but there should be no need to make more income tax payers or others pay more.

They should go to a use tax. A couple of pennies, NOT percent on various transactions. Call it a national sales tax, a use tax but if it's kept low enough(pennies) everyone could pay.

Think about all the items that are sold everyday. Rather tax the item just slap like a nickel tax on every sale, NOT item. With the millions of transactions that take place every single day the PENNY/s tax could solve alot of problems.

The reasons they keep the federal income tax is not only all the accountants, lawyers, administrators, tax preparers etc is the federal income tax gives the government free intelligence on you. Every income tax return is another chapter in your dossier. They know your social security number, address, expenses, pay/what you do, finances etc-for this reason alone the government will not eliminate the federal income tax.

But we should be lowering federal income tax payers not increasing them.
