Is this really news worthy? I can't believe news9 would even give this story a second thought! These rednecks are an embarrassment to the good people of Oklahoma! There are no such things as ghosts! This is just a bunch of hillbillys looking for an easy way to make money because there welfare is running low and they don't want to get a real job! If news9 keeps writing stories like this they will have to change their name to the Oklahoma Enquirer! GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

I'll tell you what. I'll prove that there are no ghosts in that house. I'll stay all night in the house by myself! If I am able to stay all night, then either the home owners or news9 has to pay me, lets say $60,000.00!! Hey, why not put your money where your mouth is?! They won't do it though because they know this is a load of crap!!

FYI: NONE of the members of OKPRI are on welfare, but have full-filling jobs in Oklahoma. They don't make money off residential investigations and certainly not from being filmed for the local news. They investigate free of charge because it's an subject they have a passion for. They ARE all GOOD people of Oklahoma also. Please don't slander something or someone you know nothing about. Thank you.

I agree with William! I know that many of these paranormal groups do not make money from their investigations. They do it as a hobby and a passion in order to help people and you really shouldn't judge good people based off of your ignorance and lack of knowledge about what they do.

There are also many people experiencing a haunting going on in Oklahoma and at least these people are kind enough to take the time out to help those experiencing this kind of trouble.

As far as News9 covering this....I say GOOD JOB and I'm glad to see that groups such as OKPRI are getting the earned recognition they deserve.

While this type of subject may not be a breaking news event, it still is newsworth and it caught your attention didn't it?

So..Take that and your $60,000 and find something else to complain about!

Good Job to Christian with News9 and to OKPRI!!

Well I am one of the investigators......and I can tell you for a FACT that I'm neither a hillbilly or redneck. I do not receive public assistance either. I however am a mother and a wife of an active duty military member. Maybe you should meet us or come to one of our public events and then form your opinion based on facts and not your 'sole' opinion. If we were in it for the money then why are you the one asking for $60,000.00? As far as paranormal existence goes, everyone is entitled to their opinions on their beliefs but you are not entitled to abuse others for theirs. Think about it.

I am not slandering something I know nothing about! I know there are no such things as ghosts!! I don't care what the OKPRI do! They are ivestigating something that does not exist!! If they do it for free as a hobby, well good for them! I'd be willing to bet that as long as they have been doing this they can not offer one bit of concrete proof that ghosts exist!! The burden of proof is on them. Show me a ghost and I will admit that I was wrong.

Also, if you don't want people to post commnets about you, then don't volunteer for a story that is going to be posted online!! Especially one that is totally bogus! Everyone involved in this story knows very well that there are no ghosts!! They can not offer any concrete proof that ghosts exist. News9 needs to save these fairy tale stories for Halloween!! If anyone involved in this story knows of any place that is "HAUNTED", then let me know and I will spend the night there. But, put your money where your mouth is. If I stay the night and do not see any ghosts, then they pay me $60,000.00!!

See Lisa. All you did in your post is dance around the fact that you cannot prove there are ghosts! The reason I threw $60,000 out there is because I know you won't put your money where your mouth is! If you were so sure, then you would have no problem of accepting my offer. You know as well as I do that all you're doing is playing pretend! This is your hobby! If you have seen a ghost, then tell me where and prove it! Have you ever seen one? And I am not abusing anyone. News9 posted this story and asked for people to post commnets. If you didn't want to be subject to people not believing you, then you should have not participated in this story!

HAHAHAHAHAHA your such a greedy person huh? Looking for a little I dont know "notarity" a public challange to become "in the spot light". You want $60,000.00 get a job like the rest of us.

We do like comments be it good be it bad. What we dont like is the slander of being abused with the name calling. That is unnecessary and uncalled for. You have your beliefs and so do we. We are not on here slandering you! All we ask is to keep it professional and you however can't seem to comply. This is my last comment to your asinie pettiness. Therefore, leaving no other option than to report you as abuse. Oh yeah, and thanks for the slap in my husbands face. After all it is him who is fighting for your right to freedom of speech. Thanks your a nice person. Have a wonderful day.

Nice comeback Lisa. For your information I have a very good job which doesn't include looking for ghosts! As far as the money goes, you know as well as I do that money makes people less likely to spout a bunch of nonsense. I'll tell you what, the money can go to a charity! I don't need or want your money! I just want you to prove to me that there are ghosts like you say there are! As far as the name calling goes, I apologize. And don't throw the fact that your husband is fighting for my freedom of speech in my face. That is something that I appreciate very much! As a matter of fact, what News9 should have done is a story on your husbands service to his country! That is something that is newsworhty!! So don't bring something up that has nothing to do with what we are talking about!! I never slighted what your husband is doing. He deserves, as well as all of our troops, to have as much attention brought to what they are doing and going through everyday. They are true American Heros!! But with the reality that is in his face every day, I doubt he believes in ghosts!!

Sooner I honesty think you are taking this a bit too far really. There’s no need to be argumentative about any of this. Let these people believe in what they believe in and do what they do and you do the same. Obviously you are not a Christian or you would realize that there are some things that you can believe in without seeing. Faith is one of these. There is some who say that there is no God because they cannot see Him however miracles happen every day. Same concept!!! Paranormal studies are being done by not just people like OKPRI but by universities looking into the reported phenomenon. Scientist have recognized evp,“electronic voice phenomenon” as possible recordings of the dead so paranormal happenings are being looked into. These people aren’t just imagining everything that’s happening to them so something is taking place by an unknown force. Call it ghosts or whatever you want to call them.

I will say though that where I come from, ghost stories are a part of our past and present. How do you know they don’t exist? Have you ever tried looking for one? I have heard about people like you who have agreed to stay in a “haunted” area and they learned first hand what paranormal activity was all about. Maybe you should try it, but find your own place and not antagonize these people or the people they’re trying to help. At least they are nice enough to put their work out there to help people understand what others are experiencing. Your posts have been distasteful and instead of taking you up on your offer to pay you $60,000, I have chosen to keep it and put it into something worthwhile…who knows, perhaps helping groups out like OKPRI further their research!

Take that to the bank!

Thank you so very much James for your enlightining words. I too have decendants and current relatives in Louisana and have been raised with the stories as well. That is partly some of the reasons why I chose to join OKPRI. They have a vast knowledge of scientific reasoning that has just intrigued me. I know that I not only speak for myself but for other team members too when I say "Thanks so much"

James, don't make judgements about someones Christianity when you know nothing about them! I am a Christian and I very much believe in things I cannot see. You show where in the Bible that ghosts come back and haunt houses! Are you saying that the folks in this house are involved in a spiritual battle with the devil? I would believe that more than I do ghosts haunting a house. Also, as I've stated many times during these posts, I will be glad to go look for a ghost if someone will point me to the nearest haunted house!! No one has wanted to answer that question as of yet! And what I choose to call what these folks are experiencing is an over active imagination! Someone show me proof and then I will take what you say to the bank!!

Well Lisa, I have a business appointment to keep so I will be stepping away from my desk for a while (I can hear your cheers). It seems to me that you have commneted on everything except the two questions I wanted you to answer.
1. Have you ever seen a ghost?
2. Can you prove to me that there are ghosts?
I guess I will take your refusal to answer those questions as a NO on both. I guess we just need to agree to disagree. All the best in life Lisa and God speed to your husband! I truly hope he makes it back to his family ok! As I said before, he is a true American Hero!! What we are arguing about here is really insignificant compared to what he is going through everyday. Sorry if I offended you.

Hi Sooner Shadow, I am the other Lisa on the OKPRI team. There are two of us with the same name. If you should need concrete proof of that please see our website (and that's not a sarcastic comment, it just seems you are very concerned with proof and I wouldn't want you to think I'm not the original Lisa above).
My actual point in responding is to say that (in your words above), the 'true American Hero' that Lisa is married to does in fact believe in paranormal activity. He has seen it first hand and so have all the members of our team. Even our more skeptical team members have seen or heard some sort of paranomral activity occur. So please don't dog our beliefs. We have evidence collected and available, just as so many other groups have. If you care to look, or hear any of it, please feel free to check out our website. We welcome you and anyone else to our site. It is not our objective to prove to anyone there are 'ghosts'. We do however search for and provide evidence collected of paranormal activity and ask you to decide for yourself. We as belivers KNOW what we see, hear, and record, and base our opinions from a scientific approach. We share evidence collected with those who are interested. If you're not interested you may not want to bother reading articles or watching video concerning it. Just as I am not a sports-oriented person, so I don't watch or read about sports. However, it IS newsworthy for the people who have an interest in it.
If you didn't know it, there was a big paranormal conference in Oklahoma City just last weekend. This particular conference had more attendees then I've ever seen there before prooving to me that people are much more open to the paranormal then ever before.
You Shadow, don't have to believe. We respect and appreciate your position, but at the same time we are only asking you be respectful of others who do belive in paranormal research and activity. You know, it was once thought that the world was flat, and that was proven wrong.
BTW, thank you for recognizing Lisa's husbands and all American troups contribution to our country. I greatly appreciate that. My husband was long-term military... oh... and he's also on the OKPRI team and a believer.

Well spoken gf! Also you are correct, yes my husband is a part of the team and has had his own paranormal experiences as well. Yes I do believe in the paranormal and have had personal experiences along with every single person on our team. Sooner, since I have answered your questions of my persoanl beliefs and experiences can I ask something of you in return? Visit our site at www.okpri.com , check out our website. Spend more than 10 minutes looking over our photos, evps, documentaries,as well as our investigations. I can tell you of active places to go and spend the night that I know for a fact that you would have your own paranormal experience, however, with you being close-minded to it you will never experience anything. You have to have some-what of an open mind. I would greatly appreciate if you would at least agree to go to the site and check it out. I also think that we as adults can agree to disagree. As far as offending me, yes I was very offended. To jump right out with calling people hillbilly's, rednecks, and welfare receivers is completely uncalled for. As for my husband, Thank you for recognizing what he does. I have five children and we scarifice daily "normal" family lives for his military career. I brought him into this because he is my spouse and when you put me down "These rednecks are an embarrassment to the good people of Oklahoma! There are no such things as ghosts! This is just a bunch of hillbillys looking for an easy way to make money because there welfare is running low and they don't want to get a real job! " that offends him as well. I dont harbor any ill feelings. But at this point I would like to agree to disagree without all the unnecessary name calling. You have a wonderful day.~Lisa P. OKPRI Investigator/Case Manager

You are very welcome Lisa and my whole point is that there is no reason to argue over who is wrong or right as we are all entitled to our own opinion. I grew up in Louisiana on an old plantation and while I no longer live there, I know the things we experienced were real. Our advantage was that we knew about our “ghosts” as we grew up hearing about them while seeing and experiencing their behaviors. Others here might not have that privilege knowing what’s going on and that’s why I think it’s great that you guys do what you do to help people! I also think that it’s great that certain media personnel take the time to recognize the work you all are doing and give you the credit!

Sooner…everyone has the right to their own opinion, just like you do and to be honest, I don’t think OKPRI is out to prove it to anyone….they’re just doing what they love to do. In my opinion, you can’t convince those who don’t keep an open mind to accept possibilities so you let them believe what they want to and go on!
