Hi Deanna,
Caught that episode recently on Animal Plantet. How are your cats lately? I watch an enormous amount of things like this on the paranormal and I gotta tell you this is the ONLY ONE that scared the crap out of me. I need to ask you if anyone in your family has been or at one time was dabbling in the occult? Don't get pissed off at me people for asking. It's a legit question. I read someone said the neighborhood is full of religious hypocrites. Yeah they're everywhere. Anyway, I'd get an Evangelical-Non Denominational Pastor in there to pray over your family and the house. Have him bless the house. Not Catholic, not Baptist, not Lutheran, but what I mentioned.
Are you continuing to have issues? It could be a demon. Just sayin'

I live in Hanover and when I first moved here I lived on Broadway...I gotta tell ya the house and many of the surrounding homes around there are super creepy. I didn't like being home alone, never ever went in the attic and rarely the basement....The home always felt like eyes watching me, my daughter said the same thing a year after we moved. Old towns, many haunts I suppose. God's blessings on your family and the soul of the little boy

Hanover is right next to Gettysburg so it should be no surprise to anyone that there will be paranormal activity. I am looking to get involved and help out with anyone on here who conducts paranormal investigations. If anyone is interested in starting up a PRS group let me know. I know there is a plethora of groups these days due to the popularity of Ghost Hunters but I would still love to form a group and focus on Hanover and Gettysburg. If anyone is interested please contact me at [email protected]

Deanna - wow, what an incredible story - and those EVP recordings are absolutely incredible. Did anybody ever find out why this boy shot himself or if he really did ? Maybe that could be a follow-up EVP that might shed light to this whole thing....

Hello ;q and Thank You for your comment ! Those EVP'S are plenty creepy ! But Let me just tell you .... That is just one of many ! We have so many recordings that it's unbelievable ! But it's beyond that ... You can actually hear voices out loud as well ! ;-( yikes ! All I can say ... Is I had the pleasure of meeting Chip Coffee and our home was the only topic we talked about ... And he said not all Hauntings can be helped .. This is one of them ! Take care ... Deanna Simpson

Thank you all for all of your posts...you can find me on facebook..to answere Ghostgirl.....if you have noticed all of the episodes say everything is fine....I did tell the produre that things are somewhat calmer...but by no means fine.
And Valerie....we did do everything we could in the police records ....back in the 50's everything went into a file not a a computer...you do need a attorney...supena ...ect..money money money ...which we do not have...but what we do have is ghost...and no record needs to confirm that my dear.
A few years back I went to your house for trick or treat and yes I do think as others said Hanover is a place of many secrets also if you know about the Shultz mansion I live around there.

I just saw this show on Animal Planet and all I can say is wow! I just spent the last 30 minutes reading all these posts. I think its good that you had the house blessed. I was thinking maybe this boy had not been saved and was going to suggest doing do. It sounds like you have done everything you're supposed to do. Would it be difficult to make peace with the spirits? I have lived in my home for almost 4 years and I'm convinced there is a spirit here as well. I never have problems with her though. I see her often standing at the base of my stairs or in front of the door and although I've never heard her speak, my daughter has. My dog is startled by her every once in a while as well as my cat but like I said, I've never had an issue with her. I'd like to think maybe its more mind over matter as I never try to communicate with her or ask what she wants or why she's there. It just is what it is. I've heard that people who struggle with their faith are the ones who have most problems with spirits but we are devoted Christians. Do you and your husband attend church? Anyway, I pray all is well in your home and you have found some peace with your visitors. I hope you don't mind me looking you up of Facebook. Have a wonderful day :)

I was born and raised in Hanover,Pa. I left when i was 25 yrs old. And I know Hanover like the back of my hand. And i don't ever remember any stories about this. I do know of a man that shot himself in his basement. He lived on High Street. That was when i was a teenager. I am now 49. I am watching this episode for the first time, and I am in shock that i never heard anything about this until now. WoW..And they are right Hanover has some secrets. And it does take awhile for outsiders to feel welcome. What can i say it's a small town. And that's why i left it.
I live in Hanover. I was born here and have never ever heard about this! Every town has its 'secrets' but I have never heard this story!-- now I'm curious.. Soo odd. It was pretty awesome to see my town on animal planet though.

I love this series and watch it when I can. I did catch your episode tonight for the first time. Playing devils advocate here a little, if you were told to lie about the house now being fine, how do we know you didn't lie or embellish your version of haunting events?? Just curious.

Hello Juliann....
First of all ..lets just establish one thing... There is no devils advocate here or lies..
we have had some wonderful people come into ourlives over the years to try and help us... and we are ever so greatful ... and yes ... everytime that we are helped with our haunting ...its does appear better... and then shortly after ... much to our disappointment ...it gets worse... The Animal Planet has been wonderful to our family ... and I never said anything that was incorrect... at the end of our show ...we did say ... that after the house was cleansed it appeared fine...which at that time ...it was...but that did not last...If you notice ALL SHOWS say "all is well and hauntings have stopped " NOBODY IS LIEING... BUT UNTIL YOU LIVE IN A HAUNTED HOME.. NOBODY HAS ANY IDEA

Hi Deanna, I just saw the episode featuring your house and I'm fascinated. Do you have a website, Twitter account or Facebook page for the house where we could read updates, edited instances or could hear more of the EVP recordings? Thanks and I hope your house will be yours alone soon.
