My parents and I have been living in our home since we built it in '93. We built in a wooded area and we were the first house built in this section. My dad did the plumbing in the house himself. He was the first person to have an experience in our home. While in the crawlspace, he heard voices talking and saw a read light go flashing past the back window of one of the bedrooms. He went investigating thru the house. When he reached the kitchen, he smelled the scent of a woman...a very sweet smell. He continued walking around the house and when he came back to the kitchen...the smell was still hovering. Since then, all of the members of our family have smelled this sweet smell several times. We also get the feeling that someone is watching us. I, myself have been doing dishes at the sink, and I have had to turn around because I have had chills sent up my back and instantly had the feeling of someone standing behind me. I feel that the center is in the kitchen by the sink. Right on the other side of the wall is our bathroom. On several occasions, I have had to shut the bathroom door while getting ready, with the feeling of someone standing right behind me. I have also gotten shots of cold chills, like a rush of cold air going past. On top of all of that, I heard laughing. I was in my room with my boyfriend at the time, and we heard a child laugh. So, I went into the other room and checked to see if my sister and neice were still awake...but, they were dead asleep. I went back into my room and shut the door again. Whithin minutes, there was a child laughing right outside my door. My boyfriend was so terrified that he went home. When my son was a baby, we would wake up out of a dead sleep and scream hysterically. He had terror written all over his face, red, eyes bugging out, and he stared into one spot in the room. It took me forever to get him to finally calm down every time. Now, I have another baby. She is 8 months old. She is not waking up in fear, but she watches something. I had her on my lap today, and she was looking above my head and was laughing and watching something go back and forth. Not only do my children act like something is there, but my cat goes crazy throughout the night. He acts like he is chasing something and he goes thru the house howling. I do not think that whatever is in my house is necessarily bad. But, I would like to know what exactly is going on that we cannot see. My mother talked to a lady that supposedly had some type of psychic abilities. She told my mother that there was a woman and a child that died in a fire, inside of her cabin, about 130 years ago. She said that the cabin was built on our land and that her name was Abigail. I have researched and researched this information and I have found nothing. I would really like for someone to come into my home and tell me what really is going on here. I don't know if it is something that we need to worry about or not. I would also just like to know if I am crazy or if there really is something here. But, the feelings are strong by many in my family. You can reach me at my email at ECourt82@comcast.net
Thank You,

I say that you should go to reder road, its right on the border of Schererville and Griffith IN.,but there are 2 road, the main one and a back rout, go throught the back rout, thats wats really haunted.
A girl drowned on the road, in a car crash, and they say that you can see her asking for a ride on the side of the road. I went 2days ago and there is a abandoned house going down the road, we say a white image looking at us and ran away as fast as possible. You could also go to Ross Cemetary in Griffith, which is also haunted, that is were the girl that drowned is buiried.

Repin 219. Check the place out cuz its haunted.

I just went to Redar rd. today actually. I was riding my motorcycle with a brother inlaw and i have been familiar with the story of Elizabeth Wilkins for a long time. Redar Rd. is just south of main st. just off of colfax. as you go down it it becomes a gravel path. just to your left there is a gate. the gate is blocking a narrow assphault path. this little assphault path is actually the real redar rd.. there is a tree blocking the path. but i was able to get my bike around it. we road our motorcycles straight through to the end witch comes out at 58th street which is in schererville. the path is kreepy the trees are thick. there are clothes scattered throughout the rd. i saw a tent on the side that someone had obviously camped in. (crazy fucker) whoever that was. must have been an unpleasent night because the tent is still there. who would leave there tent unless they wanted to get the fuck out of there. someone had spray painted beware on the road. seena few deer. but nothing really scary. just creepy. I heard that in the early 1900's there was a church along the road that a preacher had gone mad in and killed the whole congregation. we saw what looked like an entrance to a parking lot. maybe for the church. i didnt see an abandend house. i would like to. they also say that just as you enter the road right by the gate on the train tracks that you can see a man dressed in all black walking slowly twords you. i would like to read more information about redar rd. if anybody knows when it would be more likely to scare the shit out of you please post. i live less than a mile away from both redar rd. and ross sematary.

Im the lead investigator of the newly formed s.i.g.h.t. southern indiana ghost hunting team. Were based out of Austin, Indiana. weve investigated a few places in southern indiana. We have found some strange things out at bridgewater cemetary in scottsburg indiana, about 10 mins from my home in austin. we also investigated a house out on tunnelmill road in charlestown indiana. And that place is the scariest place ive ever been, its right before 10 penny bridge. you have to go late at night, but the story behind the house is that a grandmother and her 2 grand children were all murdered in the house. I would advise anybody that investigates the paranormal to try there. your almost guaranteed to catch something! u have to go late at night though.

the tunnel mill story isn't true actually, nothing paranormal or disturbing or crazy has ever happened there, it's owned by the boyscouts and is located right next to their camping grounds. the older boyscouts would make up stories to frighten the younger boys and would make it seem real by taking red lasers out in the pitch black and making the younger ones believe it was the red eyes of a murderous indian, i know this because i know the man that is remodeling the tunnel mill house as a historical site because it has some historical property about it, the boyscouts sold it to him to rebuild and restore it because of all the vandalism the building has suffered due to the teens and kids cycling through there thinking it's haunted.
