A nerd can hold a conversation with you and he won't be intimidated by an independent woman with a degree and intelligence.
A man who can do linear algebra, differential calculus and apply theorems has a mind that is inquisitive. Nerds are usually quite inquisitive about sex!
I love to spend time at the library, museums or bookstores, and when meeting nerdy men I don't feel like I have to dumb things down to a lower level. Quite the opposite - it is refreshing to be approached by an intellectual man!
