Hi;

I still have issues with my ex, and it's a bit scary living alone again, so I just finished a women's self defense course. One technique the instructor recommended was the testicle squeeze, where you grab one testicle and squeeze as hard as you can for like 20 seconds, and the guy supposedly passes out like turning off a switch.

Now, that sounds like a great technique if the opportunity presents itself in an attempted rape situation since the guy won't even know you are trying to defend yourself until you start to squeeze, and then in theory it's too late for him.

The only problem is, the instructor had never actually tried it, or personally knew someone who had. Strangely, my boyfriend won't let me try it on him (and he claims to love me...).

Now I know that a man's testicles are very sensitive to pain, but I have absolutely no desire to cause an attacker pain -- that just risks him getting angrier & more violent. I am only interested in totally incapacitating him, so he simply can't function. Done right, I know a kick to the knee or punch to the throat can do that. But just squeezing or kicking his balls? Actually make a drink-crazed attacker unable to function for at least 5 minutes?

Since no one will let me try it on them, I'm asking if anyone out in the big world has had any real-life experience they would share. Can you really incapacitate someone like that? Or does it just hurt like buggery.

As aman, I can tell you that for about 90% of men, a squeeze alone is not enough ... it is too slow and the man can respond ...

A fist, foot, elbow, or knee with some real force will be enough, in most cases to make him release you for at least 5 to 10 seconds (depending on how well you got him, how drunk he is, how tough he is, maybe longer)- hopefully enough to run away and get to safety ...

Talk to an expert .. you may not want to try this with a guy who has a knife or gun .. it could be cause for provocation if you don't get him on the first try ...

and as to your boyfriend ... I feel sympathy for him that you want to test this theory on him ....

Well, to squeeze his balls, the man has to be within your reach. But that would also mean that you are within his reach. While squeezing his balls may give him excruciating pain for a moment or two, it will not incapacitate him. Instead, he is likely to retaliate and since you are very much within his reach,...

Suggest the eye jab but there will be permanent effects here

Well, from experience I can tell you that having your testicles squeezed can be quite painful. My wife like to grab and squeeze my balls in a playful way during sexual activity. Sometimes she has gotten a little carried away and yes, I beleive if done full force, I would be completely unable to defend myself against her (a woman half my size) if she has my testicles in her grasp. However, this would mean having a good hold of naked/exposed testicles. If the man is wearing clothes you can not get a secure enough grasp to ensure total incapacitation. Therefore I would recommend a kick, knee, punch, or some other attack (unless you can get your hand down his pants somehow) instead of a testicle grab/squeeze.

I dont want to relive the experience here, but I used this technique to escape certain rape when I was in my mid teens. In attempting to grab him I only managed to get hold of one testicle, but as soon as I started squeezing hard he seemed to be paralysed by the pain & completely unable to do anything aboutit.I can assure you it definately works!

I can verify that it can be all-controlling IF a girl can get a really good grip on a guy's balls. Squeezing one ball is OK if she really does a great job and squeezes long and hard enough. One hand each on each ball squeezing really hard would really do a number, but your face is exposed. You may get hurt, but in a rape or life-threatening situation, you want to cause as much damage as you can. I like the comment above about an eye strike. If he is having trouble seeing, he won't see your hand, elbow, foot heading for his balls. Then you get out of there.

My wife has hurt me a few times by slugging my balls too hard or squeezing them too hard. I can definitely confirm that.

I'm sorry for your experience, but I'm glad you got away. I don't want to make you relive the experience, but I it would be really helpfull with a little more detail...

How long and how hard did you squeeze? Was he just incapacitated while you were squeezing -- did he recover right away when you let go, or was he unconscious or incapacitated for a while? Do you know what happened to him afterwards -- did you do any permanent damage or did he have to go to the hospital or anything?

I'm still a bit squeemish about the whole thing, but I want to protect myself if it comes down to that...

I tell you what, I'd be careful with that one because I'm not at all a violent person, but I really don't want to know what I'd do to the person that grabbed one of my testicles and tried to pop it. I think at that point instinct would take over, and I'd likely do whatever was necessary to remove the offending hand from said testicle. lol
