I don't think that anyone knows the percentage of incest in the world. It's higher then we'd hope. Probably 5% or so by the time a child is 18 years old.

Why does it happen? Because there are people of bad character. This has always gone on. Today we hear about it a lot more because people are more likely to talk about it. Victims are more likely to tell someone and try to get help.

The parents are always the first ones responsible for the care of their children. The education department can do a lot however to help children by teaching them that this should not be going on. Let’s face it, if a child is being molested by a parent, then they will not learn the right things from that parent.

Why do you ask? Is there a problem?

As far as "incest" goes, which would be between persons of the same bloodline... I'm not sure.

I know that, in the US alone, 3 out of 4 woman will report having been sexually abused as a child/ young adult. Typically this is by someone who is a member of their family, or a close friend of the family.

It doesn't happen to girls/women, though. There are men and women praying on young boys. Regardless of how/why it happens, it is sick.

Not all people that have participated in incest did it through rape/molestation. Some people did it because they wanted it.

my only experience comes with rape/molestation, so that is what I quoted. I am sure there is plenty of information out there about it. The internet is a handy thing.

I think it also happens more frequently than we know between, brothers and sisters, two or more brothers, and even sisters I would think. If it is 100% consensual and preferably if both are adults, and no pregnancy results, is there really anything wrong with it?

I think incest is great like if a horney 14 year old boy is hot for his mother and she finds out and feels simalar why is it wrong form them to have sex as long as they use protection and can keep it a secret, so they are not abused by the likes of elewm.

95% of boys have not negative reaction to incest
personaly every case of consentual mother son incest I have seen has been described as positive and the best most fufilling sexual experiance they have ever had

after both parties go onto lead normal relationships while still ocasionaly engaging in warm loving mother son sex

this seems the norm in mother son incest and is not wrong in the least bit

I have never engaged in incest because the conditions are not write but if I was say an only child with a single mother I sure would love to have that great realationship that very few people are lucky enough to experiance

I don't know how common it is, but I suspect that it is very well hidden where it does exist. If two people within a family decide that they want to get it on, but they never tell anyone about it, then trying to figure out how often that sort of thing happens is impossible.

Abusive incest is easier to quantify since some of the victims are strong and brave enough to speak out and find refuge from their abuser.

Incest is generally considered consensual between family members. Molestation would be non consensual [but only covers anything that is not penetration, that is considered rape.]

i have no kids so i can only speculate, but i suspect that one of the main reasons that father daughter incest occurs, is because the women we marry in our society are no different from any whore we can pick-up in any brothel in town.

our wives are well fucked by the time we get to marry them. and no matter what society would have us believe, man don't want fucked women for their life partner.
so, in order to overcome this unfortunate fact, many men proceed to develop a more personal and intimate relationship with a female who has not been screwed by other guys.

Can somebody explain to me how brother and sister consensual incest happens? What prompts this brother and sister behavior?
