um,,,,,, not really,,,,,, most girls i know have been shaving down there since it grew!!
20+ years ago, shaving was something you occassonally saw in porn. It was rare and they made a big thing of it when they featured it because of the novelty. I'm sure a small minority or women shaved more than 10-15 years ago but it is commonly accepted that the majority did not.

Current shaving thing is a fashion, albeit it could be around for a long time.

pubic hair was NEVER out of style -- only cheap dirty western females shaved their pubes. Maybe because they got poor hygiene or had lice.

Don't get nasty because the western world likes their roast beef medium-rare, not well-done.

Bald! Much better, cleaner, easier for oral and you can see what you're getting! I've tried both and know what I like. One girlfriend tried to shave, didn't like it (but she didn't have much). Both my wife 30, and my misstress 19 love to shave.

Real women have hair in many places. There is no connection between hair and lack of hygiene.

What women have between their legs has been depicted in mainstream lad mags in the USA since about 1970. The women in Hustler, the king of rude raunch, were shaved and that turned me off. Otherwise, it was full bush until the 1990s, then trim. The landing strip and full shave / Brazilian look came in with internet porn in the the late 1990s. It helped that Gwyneth Paltrow told the Hollywood press in 1998 that she was a Brazilian fan.

The British nudie model June Palmer, born 1940, shaved everything. She did not flaunt her vulva, which was a demure cleft.

Moslem women, not a rarity in your South Asia, are supposed to shave or at least trim, at least once a month. 50+ years ago, only a few porn models shaved. The only ones who trimmed were underwear and swimsuit models, and chorus line show girls.

When a few hairs stray out of the fencing togs are supposed to provide, I find that touchingly embarrassing, human, and not disgusting. I also say nothing (easy) and try not to perve (harder).

Nearly all women have no difficulty cutting and shaving so that nothing every shows along the proverbial "bikini line," but without as far as the landing strip or Brazilian look.

My wife has a lady friend who runs a beauty salon out of her garage. She does a brisk trade in manicures and leg waxes, and is qualified to do the pubes as well. But down there her customers are all Asian women, not Caucasian New Zealanders. Mainstream New Zealand women decline to shave. I am not objecting in the slightest. My wife is hairy, and I have no mistresses. When it comes to the private bits, I believe in going with Mother Nature's flow.

i think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one seymour,,,,, i find it repulsive,,,,, and not only that,,,,, but as a sexually active woman who is constantly moist ,, i find the hair gets matted by the end of a working shift,,,,,,, resulting in me having to cut it out when i get home,,,, so,,,, if there is no hair then there is nothing to cut away :)

I should admit that when young women began to flaunt having little or no hair down there, my initial reaction was that they were going too far. They were making a fetish of their lady flowers. They were catering to the lads and not to the connaisseurs of women.

After a while, I got over this initial reaction. It's now clear that bare down there is a lifestyle option that's here to stay. And as far as internet amateur porn goes, you know the women shave purely because they want to, and not because some perve porno profiteer behind the camera told them to.

Women are getting bolder and bolder, more and more confident. Women in the USA are telling each other to be proud of their lady bits. Is it any surprise that a fair number of women want to reveal those bits in full, at least to the One Special Man in their lives? The shaving could also merely be a transition step to eventually going commando on quieter beaches and indoor pools. 50 years from now, grown women recreating nude will be a lot more in fashion than it is now.

Each to their own and I respect you preference but I prefer to keep my bush, so I trim the hair on my vulva very short to avoid the matting etc. So no problem.

You comment on how you find the look disgusting and dont like the thought of a mouth full of hair. Are you bi, or just see things from both sides?

IMO, pubic hair never went out of style. I love for a woman to have a big bush.
