As so many of these posts show, permanent retraction is in a minority but not uncommon at all. There are a couple of Yahoo groups devoted to this, and hundreds of posts on the Steady Health site about it.
Bared is better.
Dont really see the point in trying to get the foreskin to stay in a position it really doesnt want to. Its easy enough (and rather sexy) to roll the skin down by hand. When erect, head bare and ready for action, it doesnt really matter how the foreskin sits when soft.

every guy is different, some guys have alot of foreskin hanging of the end and some may have only a small amount of foreskin. the amound of foreskin doesnt effect sexual function, when errect the foreskin should come off the nob.

Where the foreskin leaves some of the glans bare, do you get a two tone glans? Guys with foreskin over the head have a bright pinky purple glans where circumcised guys have a dried out more dull coloured head. If the end only is exposed does it dry out compared to the rest?

This sounds logical but I've never noticed. Anyone else know the answer?

Use lube during vaginal. Try olive oil.

How much coverage an intact dude has when he flaccid is quite variable. Depends on mood, time of day, recent morning wood, bla-bla... When I come out of the water, I have a lot of overhang, because swimming makes me very small, LOL!

I have a tiny bit of extra wrinking at the tip of the knob, because that part has spent more time in contact with my underwear. Wouldn't call it "2-tone" though. This intimate detail doesn't matter, I think.

Charles Deux is a Yank who is ashamed of having a foreskin. But he also has the good sense not to have it cut off.

I am a straight bloke, but I still agree with you that seeing the foreskin move, and making it move yourself, is probably very hot. Uncut simply means more to play with, more eye candy.

Refers to short foreskins not covering all of the glans. Don't know if some guys leave the head completely uncovered, you can see if any of the exmaples are like your boyfriend. Cant see it matters if he is comfortable.
The first image in that article is longer than typical for an adult. Many grown men have no overhang.

I think this is different in France. Here a man will not expose his penis head in public say on a nude beach. It is not considered decent I think because we have no history of circumcision as you do in England. There boys will roll the prepuce down often as it is a normal look and I think they can become more loose and not always stay on the head. Here men all seem to have a full prepuce I think because they don't get loosend in boys because they don't see others rolled down so do it less.
I've rolled the skin down in my boyfriends but never seen any other man with his skin down. I think this the best way.
Fabie
Fabie, vous venez de confirmer l'idee que je me faisais du prepuce francais!

France is like many non-circumcising cultures, in that the penis with foreskin over glans is seen as indecent but also as comical; the bare glans is obscene.

Brits of around your age have largely forgotten that the UK used to have a heavily circumcised middle and upper class. But the British bloke who enjoys darts and footie always resisted circ.

What you write about the French foreskin confirms what I've already read. A medical thesis on the web by a French medical student who worked part time in a university student health clinic, said that about 10% of university men were unretractable. I also observed in my youth that French boys seldom retract when they pee.

I have no difficulty with the bare glans being reserved for the One and Only in your sentimental life. Some very cool American ladies call the foreskin "gift wrapping"!

You're in luck, uncircumcised does it for me, I can't imagine pleasuring a penis with no moving parts. Having said that I have no sexual experience with a circumcised guy and am the first to admit that my preference is probably shaped by what I know.

Incidentally, I quickly found out that a foreskin is very helpful when a man enters me, it acts as a sort of inserter. After foreplay, however damp I am the very opening to my vagina can dry up due to contact with the air. As a result, my initial attempts at sex failed as a teenager because my opening was too dry, we were both inexperienced and thought he was too big for me.

By chance, we found out that he slipped in effortlessly if his foreskin was partially covering the glans.

I now always do this and have never needed lube as a result. On gliding into me, the foreskin rolls off the head, then stays there. Don't believe these people who will tell you a mans foreskin moves over the head during sex. This doesn't happy when the penis is well lubricated (naturally!).

Another useful function of the foreskin!

Some American women have written similarly.

Here I cannot agree. There exists battery powered wireless video cameras the size of a cold tablet. Women have agreed to have vaginal with one of these cameras embedded in the cervix opening. The resulting video was uploaded to YouPorn, and it clearly showed the foreskin moving back and forth during intercourse.

Thank you very much for sharing, and I invite all women to post in the same vein. If women don't do this, we'll never really understand the foreskin. Never forget that SCIENCE DOESN'T REALLY KNOW JUST HOW SEX WORKS. We have to enlighten the boffins.

The Queen Mother of American foreskin defenders, Mrs Marilyn Milos, has told me that your opinion here is typical of continental European women. And "how dare they remove the only moving part?" was an anguished complaint I read often 15-20 years ago about the USA.

Foreskins come in all lengths. Some men have short foreskins that permanently retract after puberty. Most have foreskins that cover the glans when the penis is soft and retract when the penis is erect. Some men have foreskins so long that they cover the glans penis at all times.

I am one with a long foreskin. I can easily retract the foreskin but it springs forward when I release it. I could never wear my foreskin retracted.

I see no advantage to wearing the foreskin retracted because one function of the foreskin is to keep the mucosa of the glans penis moist and healthy.

Do I understand you. Your saying that when you pull your foreskin back, it "springs" forward when you let go????

My foreskin, if I pull it back stays there. I just don't see how it could spring back. I'm not meaning anything by this, but isn't your head big enough to hold it back, or am I missing something here. Please reply!!

What Bobby reports is quite normal before 20 years of age, if not older. The frenulum is like a tension spring. The older it gets, the less tension it supplies. Long ago, I was like Bobby. Now I'm like you. It really doesn't matter, except for a few American doctors, and more American parents, who are not up on the state of intact play. They think that a foreskin that won't stay back when you let it go is somehow not healthy or right.

Thanks for the input.

The "one" I have, it pulls back all the way, so it is just like being cut. The foreskin, like disappears and my "one" looks like its cut.

Of course, it has never be "itol" long.

Interesting that in societies where changes are made to make the penis(circumcision) and vagina (pubic shaving) less modest say USA, these are the same countries where mixed nudity is a great taboo. In Europe we have less inhibitions about mixed pubic nudity possibly because our most intimate parts our vaginas and penis heads are covered.
If from the USA would you be more comfortable naked in mixed company if your vagina or penis was more modest like here. Or from Europe would you be less accepting of mixed nudity without the penis skin or the hair?
Fabie
And what other culture circumcises its men, and expects women to shave their pubes at least once a month? Islam!

Shaved pubes began in the USA only 10 years ago, and could go out of fashion. A lot of young American women watch porn (often, but not always, with their partners), and porn actresses began shaving about 10 years ago. Many USA women think that men either expect shaved, or are much more excited by shaved.

I definitely that a woman's pubic hair is a sort of natural g string, and fully understand women who think that no pubic hair is too exposed.

I'm not a good person to consult on the male part of your argument, because I grew up intact in the circumcised USA. My foreskin made me feel much more conspicuous, not less.

Your general point that intact cultures tend to find a bare nob over the top is true of many primitive cultures. A fully extended foreskin means the guy is not thinking lewd thoughts. An exposed glans means that he has sex on the brain, and is potentially dangerous.

This would have been true two generations ago, but it would not be true among the young boys of today. The percentage of boys leaving hospital intact has increased to about 48%, so an uncircumcised boy is unlikely to be a rarity.
In the West and in Florida, the intact males are in the majority.
