Is it biased that western TV programs of late will show the male genitals but hardly any female genitals?

Sperminato still sore. Tell your boyfriend to desist for a while.

Actually, it's has much to do about Brit TV and the feminazis running the shows.

UK (vulva on TV taboo)

A Girl's Guide to 21st Century Sex:
1st episode showed male and female equally, but then it was mostly males being exposed.

Sin Cities:
Penis shots a plenty, nary a p***y shot.

Good Sex Guide:
Same thing

US (vulva on TV taboo)

HBO's Private Dicks:
Nothing comparable. No Secret garden version

HBO's Oz:

HBO Tell me you love me:
Haven't see any episodes but I imaging it the same way. Close up of males but no women.

Canada (vulva on TV taboo)

The Sex Files:
Shots of clit, inside vagina but the vulva almost non-existent. Plenty of male close ups even when it's about female parts and has nothing to do with
That particular segment.

Showcase's Queer as Folk:
Plenty of flopping d**ks, no comparable showcase series with the same content of coochie shots.

I have no problem with TV series showing the human body with nothing hidden, male or female but it's a double standard when only males bottom parts are shown for the most part and not females. Either show both sexes in equal amounts or don't show them at all.And to say women have their breasts exposed all the time is not comparable to genitals at all.

Wondering if other males feel itís a double standard that should be changed?

They show nudity on TV in the West?

I guess the United States must not be part of the West anymore. Sigh.

(Seriously, we sometimes see some nudity on HBO but that's about it.)

Some things to know about two of the HBO shows you mentioned (sadly I haven't even heard of any of the non-HBO shows):

1. "Private Dicks" was the sequal or bookend to a show where women showed and talked about their breasts.

(It wouldn't surprize me if many people didn't consider the breasts, and not the vagina, to in someways be the woman's counterpart to the penis.)

2. Though I've never seen "Tell Me You Love Me" I do know that the big controversy surrounding that show was that somebody in the cast or crew let out of the bag the fact that all the penises on the show were fake and all the sex was simulated. The show's producer or director ended up admitting that this was true.

I agree with Mark. Why is the penis acceptable and the vulva is not? It is blatantly obvious that there is a double standard here. The fact that showing the vulva in media is taboo in a number of countries while the penis is not, tells me that there is an underlying societal quality of the vulva that the penis lacks. Perhaps it's that women overall are insecure, and the vulva/vagina is their kingdom that they are afraid to show or explore, while the penis is no big deal. It's just ridiculous that emphasis is placed so heavily on equality in the US and elsewhere and the viewing of genitalia is so heavily skewed on the behalf of women it's not funny. It is obvious that the vulva is hidden, but why is it never shown despite shaving and trimming being commonplace? Why are there not many jokes about it? Why can't it be laughed at just as penises are. I'm sure that will help women feel better about their parts just as men do when people laugh at them.

drake g and other men are on the side of "show more penis, never the vagina" as if they are so heavily emasculated and socialized to believe that it's perfectly normal. Can't these men use any reason? Perhaps they know nothing about the matter, have never thought about it, nor what to think about it, nor see any need to think about it. In which case, these men should refrain from commenting until reason and logic is used. Thank you.

I so agree with all you other guys, This double standard must stop and now! I say they let a graphic penis be shown for 30 seconds in Dewy Cocks, so now we should be able to show a graphic vulva for 30 seconds.

Lets get together and start a movement.

I have set up a yahoo group to Fight the MPAA.

you can find it here.

I agree, let's do something.

Speaking only about the US, we never see roast beef on TV for the same reason we never see boners - they don't show anything sexually explicit on American TV.

Only in recent years, and only on premium cable channels, did you ever see ANY nudity. And the nudity you see there consists only of brief flashes of breasts butts and flaccid penises.

But believe me, years ago you NEVER saw ANY nudity on American TV. In fact, I never thought I'd live to see the day where you saw ANY.

(In fact, the accepting attitude about nudity, and it's appearance on TV, was one of the things that often caused "culture shock" for Americans when they went to Europe.)
