I have this question about the vaginal area. When I went to a gyno, I asked him if about my vaginal area. He told me I had a "wider set vaginal opening." Then I asked him if I had a hymen and he said he didn't know because he didn't look.
HUH?
Went I went to another gyno he told me I still had a hymen left. But that still leaves the question of what the hell the other guy was talking about.
What does wider set vaginal opening mean? Is that the way it get shaped in the womb or something? What does that mean for me sexually? Will a guy not enjoy having sex with me because of it? But my vagina itself isn't large. At least I don't think it is. It would take the jaws of life to even get two fingers in there.
So if my vaginal opening is so wide set, than how come I have difficulty puttting things in there?

Time to do more research?

Considering that you already seem to be fairly easily stimulated to orgasm, I think it would not mean much for you sexually.

Maybe it will mean that you will be one of those who prefers a thicker guy? WHo knows ...

I think the guy might have just been a quack. I went there partly because I had clitoral pain. After the exam I asked him if the clitoris looked okay. And do you know what he said?
"I don't know. I didn't look."
Besides, I've looked at myself in a mirror and my opening is smaller than some of the pictures of other girls I've seen. Or at least its not as large. I can even still see a full ring of hymenal tissue there as well!
And if my vaginal area is so HUGE how come its such a strain to insert anyhting? It makes no sence.
Having looked for myself, I don't thing he was talking about the actual opening, but the vulva width itself.(Remeber how I said some docs say "vagina" instead of "vulva"?)
From comparing myself to the photos of others, I have noticed my "width" is longer than other girls, who seem to have a more "compressed" area. I am almost certain that this is what he was referring to.
Not actual vaginal size. After all, if the other doc said I still had a hymen that pretty much stamps out me having this large vaginal opening.
Do you think this might be the case?
PS What do men think of vaginal size?
Or a larger set vulva?

The thought of having a wider set vaginal opening kills me and causes me not to want to have sex. I know guys proffer small vaginal everything down there. And I'm a virgin, so I REALLY don't want the area to be big.
When I think about ti, I just feel unnattractive and disgusting.

Since your'e a guy, I can only explain it by saying that having a wide vaginal anything is like having a itty bitty penis.
Imagine being at your docs and having him say.."By the way, Franko, you have a thinner set penis."
Goog God. I just hope that guy was talking about my vulva.

YOu could be right about the quack -- uh, I mean doctor.

Men can;t really know much about vaginal size, nto being women. BUt I have heard of instances when guys said theyir GF's were "loose" and there seemed ot be less pressure and thus less sensation during intercourse.

One of them complained that it took forever (about 20-30 minutes) to get off. He siad with his previous GF, who was very tight, he came in about 10 minutes.

I suggested that was good that it took longer. He asked why?

I said "don't you WANT to enjoy the sex for longer?"

UNless th evulva is freakishly big, a lot fo guys find it more interesting if a woman has a larger vulva.

My first 2 GF's that I gave head had very small vulva's so I could lick, but it was hard to suck.

THe GF's who had larger vulva's I could take her "lips" between my lips and suck and stretch it and they LOVED it. Same with a mroe pronounced clit .. you can take it between th elips and manipulate it and suck (all gently, of course)-- drives them wild.

Whoa.REWIND what did you just say???? OMG..that right there tells me he is NOT a good doctor. For the love of GOD. ANY OBGYN should know what a hymen is...even I do, and I'm not an MD. Go see a female OBGYN.

The only thing I can gather is the size in mm. The vaginal opening in white women tends be mm smaller than those of other races. Why that is, I don't know. My guess would have to go towards how man evolved. I'm not going to get graphic here, but different ethnic groups will have sexual anatomy that compliments the male and female of the same ethnic group. When there is an international union between man and wife of differing ethnicities, e.g., a white female marries an African American male (boy, I hope I don't slapped here, but I have 1/4 Nigerian blood in addition to French Canadian, and 50% Lebanese blood, so I should not get slammed *cringes*), the white female will experience UNCOMFORTABLE, I'm talking UNCOMFORTABLE sex and that's putting mildly based on what my white females friends have shared with me. Well, I dated an African American male while attended university, and after 5 months of dating, we decided to 'do it'. Pain? I felt nothing of the kind, and he was AGGRESSIVE. Apparently in this case, I complimented him in this area because of my genes. So, now I know that Middle Eastern,(Lebanese in my case) and Nigerians have the wider vaginal area.

THere are differences, and they vary within an ethnic group as well as between them. THe asian men and women actually rank as the smallest. HOwever, according to KINSEY and MASTERS and JOHNSON, who studied over 8000 men and about as many women the differences averge barely 10% from one group to the next. NOt a monumental differnece such as the myths make out. They did find a correlatoin with in the women by race as well. TO some degree, they attiributed this to the average height and weight of the people also, hip-bone structure, etc.

ie. taller women with wider hips will have a proporitonatly bigger vaginal width just by proportion alone.

I think the problem with getting a vaginal exam though is that it DOES make the vaginal entrance bigger. Doesn't it? I've even heard it can break the hymen all together. Guys have it so much easier. It's not like their peinises get smaller every time theyr'e used or poked.

I believe that when a woman has to stretch her vaginal area to insert anything, it has to stretch to accomodate. I guess for an exam that means quite a lot of stretch?

YEt, I believe it all goes back to normal once the muscles and ligaments have relaxed? In truth I do not know enough about this.

I know the GF I have been seeing about once every 3 weeks fits like a virgin every time ... heh heh!

He's probably talking about the area between the labia, and not the actual introitus...To avoid confusion between saying vulva and vagina, I'm just going to say p@ssy...and you know as well as I do that p@ssies come in a vareity of shapes and sizes...There's different lengths of clitoris', the lips can come in different sizes, some are real slim, some curl together at the top, some hang way out, some stay open when the woman's legs are spread apart, some are wll tucked inside the labia majora, and aren't clearly viewed until it's spread apart...It may be just my opinion, but I've never come across an ugly p@ssy...

I think I'm in love. Seriously, though, he probably was making an observation about your pelvic area (bone structure). Everything else seems quite nice. It should give you comfort to know that if you decide to have children, your bone structure will make childbirth easier (not easy, just easier).

You may have a wide vaginal bone width area. All that means is that you will have a more easy time giving birth. If you have trouble sticking two finger "in there", you are tight "muscularily"... is that a word? There is a difference between skeltal system and your muscular system. Don't worry about it.

There are lots of muscles down there that take care of the stretching. Yes franko, everything goes right back to normal.^_^[of course, there are times when there is just too much put on the muscles, and they cant contract... then there is some stretching... it's kind of like when you skin cant stretch anymore, and you get stretch marks....]

As for Angel V... yes your hymen can break from just the exam alone. Still, it isn't really a big deal if it does- it doesn't mean you are no longer a virgin. Mine broke at a young age- before i had sex- and that was just because I was very active. if your OBGYN was seriously saying "I don't know... I didn't look." then it is time to get a new doc. he obviously doesn't know what he is doing. Even the ladies at the free clinic are more informative than that... and they speak plain English. lol.

lube.

If she isn't very wet- then it's not going to feel good for either of you when you try to shove it in her. wet your finger with some saliva and rub around her "entrance." If nothing else, please her orally first. It'll help to "warm her up" and provide some lubrication for when you are ready to do your thing.

I think you are ok Angel V and don't even worry about what they are trying to tell you about your vagina. I bet it looks great and I bet it taste and feels just as good. Just go with whatever a guy is telling you and all will be good.
