I think having group sex is irresponsible. I cannot believe that people view sexuality as I want to try this or I have done that. Let's say you get into a serious relationship and one day your bf/gf finds out that you were tag teamed one day or found out about other sexual exploits. Different people have different psyhe's. SOme of them require more exploration and experimentation. There is something in the back of their minds saying "I am not satisfied with what has happened so far in my life ... there seems to be something more I need."
THus, they take actions to satisfy this need which they do not quite understand why it is there.
At some point, many of them, after trying various things, become more settled and are ready to marry and settle down. They may even decide that much of what they experimented with was uncessary to them and so it is in their past.
If they feel that their partner would not understand this, and chances are they will never find out, then why tell them? I've seen where "too much honesty" turned out to be the wedge that drove couples apart.
