My question is if there are any other parents who have suffered the same dilemma, and how did you deal with it?

apparently your son doesn't have a problem with people seeing him do this. i would definitely talk to him about it.

don't do it negatively, you could scar him for life over something that can be fixed easily.

is this video in your/his computer or is it online?
he needs to know that there are a lot of wicked people that will see this.

let him masturbate there at home, with the door open, in the living room if he wants. its best he do this there where you can see him and not find out like what you did. he might do this again, or worse yet with a lot of people involved in some way or another.

let him be nude at home. to the bathroom and back nude, to the kitchen, during dinner, in the living room watching tv. talk about sex. definitely talk about sex. don't turn it into a incest thing.

find out if he's gay or straight. get it under control before it gets out of control.

I generally think people care far too much about the "incest angle" of incidents like this, in less you're planning to spawn a baby then sex is just sex, and relation doesn't matter. I think she liked what she saw on a very basic level even if the societal hangups and prohibitions about this sort of thing which most of us get indoctrinated with from very early age, are getting in the way of it. I'm a firm believer in the old school of "if it feels good do it" providing you're not hurting anyone, and that that boys age of 12 he certainly not a baby anymore and knows what he's doing and what it's all about. I think the mom in this case should not be disturbed about having been aroused by seeing her son like that, it's as natural as a father or stepfather being aroused by a girl of similar age. Normal natural and to be expected! The only time the becomes a problem is when something nonconsensual happens with them.

Mother, have you ever really asked the most pertinent question about this whole situation - WHY? Why did the visual arouse you as it did?
Because only when you have answered that, can you move onto therapy/remedy for it.

Basicly, you were either aroused because -
you find your son sexually attractive OR
you find young boys sexually attractive OR
you were born with the incest gene

Either way, relax, regain control. You did not specify were you found this video. I would suggest that you make a similar length video of yourself masturbating on the same device that his video is on. Show him that even adults do the same, and that blindness and/or hairy palms are not the result of masturbating,

how about an update?

if the wife found it arousing and going up against what her beliefs, then maybe she should re-think her way of thinking?

here's what i might consider doing. i would talk to the son about this video routine he has, and i would keep him nude as you are having this conversation. there is nothing wrong with family nudity. i wouldn't do incest, even though its appealing. but allowing the freedom of nudity, erections, sex, sex at home with his partners, things like that, i would let him have permission to do so.

if the wife is aroused, hey, let her look but you provide the sex for your wife. heck, i would consider letting the kid watch.

communication is the key issue. talk about it together as a family. the video? i'd tell him that should be a private and family viewing, not meant to share with the world.
