Why isn't it legal in every state? The law abiding people should have a right to get laid.

Pimps and Madams. If it were legal everywhere then pimps and madams would take advantage of every young girl or guy too naive to question anything or are down on their luck for whatever reason (drugs, debt, orphaned, etc.)and use them for financial gain. There are times that the gov'mt has to save us from ourselves and this is one of those times. It happens everywhere that pros. is legal, girls are forced by the comapanies into contract and have no say in what and who they have to do. Every adult has the right to get laid, just go get some. It ain't that difficult.

Because of prohibition, the law will not protect the weak, naive and vulnerable. They are the prostitutes who get raped and exploited because under prohibition there is no legal protection for those who break the law. They are the clients who pay the fee and instead of getting sex they get beat up and thrown out the side door. Also there are law abiding people who get robbed or extorted or intimidated if they happen to get in the way. Prohibition makes sex dangerious and makes the neighborhood dangerious. And those who think they have power, money and a lot of friends, you only have more to lose if you get caught up in the mess created by prohibition.

I used to know a gorgeous girl. I shall call her 'C' for the purpose of this story.

'C' was the life and soul of our social group. She was not only beautiful, but intelligent and very funny. Every second with her was a blast. She was amazing company, and I for one, loved her.

'C' got herself addicted to crack. It quickly became a 300 a day habit, and to pay for this, she started giving her body to whatever scumbag who was offering her a bit of money.

The last time I saw her, I hardly recognised her. I gave her 100, not for any sexual favour, but because I couldn't bear the thought of what she would have done otherwise. Her old personality had gone. All she cared about was how she could afford her next hit.

'C' was found dead in a layby. She had been strangled.

The vast majority of prostitutes are drug addicts, and the people who hire them are just as guilty as the drug dealers in my eyes.

The person 'C' is a martyr made by prohibition of sex work. Prohibition destroys people, and 'C' is a perfect example of what prohibition does to people. Because many people can't find legal non-criminal way to get laid or market their services, they settle for dealing with 'C's world of abuse, diseases, drugs and crime that destroys the prostitutes, their customers and society.

If sex therapy was legal, there would be a safer choices available, more people could get help, and the profits would be used to help people be healthy.

So you think that all prostitutes are drug users? What about slavery, there was a case in Australia where these women were tricking Asian women to come to Australia and then when they got here they made them prostitute themselves and took their passports. I believe most do it because they have no choice. Buy drugs is also just as morally wrong to me. Most people will argue otherwise or say I have 6 o'clock mentality. I don't really care, I think right and wrong is commonsense.

I'd rather see the drug dealers who got her hooked on that stuff lined up and machine gunned than prostitution legalised.

Every prostitute I've ever met (I've never had sex with a prostitute by the way) has resorted to it out of sheer desperation.

Yes, all prostitute aren't necessarily drug users, but the overwhelming majority are desperately in debt or are being exploited by gangsters and/or human traffickers. I don't want to see prostitution legalised.

I think in Australia it legalized. I know there is brothels and escorts but I ain't to sure if escorts are legal or not. They advertise in the papers so I'm guessing they are.

The type of prostitution I want legalized is sex therapy designed to help people make love and stay away from abusive situations and stay away from drugs. If sex therapy was legalized and made safe and free of abuse, more money would go to the good people and less money go to the criminal drug and/or human traffickers.

I was wondering, female prostitutes are usually very obvious because they dress prevocativly and make it quite clear. I was wondering how do male prostitutes or rent boys let people know they are prostitutes? Are there secret signals or tell tale signs to let people know?
