so sorry to hear about Ms. Cheryl Jones. One of my children attend Twenhofel Middle school. She has been understanding and supportive when needed. It could be a case of protecting her daughter which I certainly dont think is right. How many parents want to protect their children regardless of age? You love your kids and want the best for them.

Don't know is Sarah Jones is guilty or innocent. What I do know is that she is one ugly woman. Guess that kind of hideousness pushes her to be a professional cheerleader and leader of her squad. Its nice see that the Bangles haven't turned their back on her and await for the outcome of the trail.

If she's guilty that is totally messed up!

I am appalled to hear such jealousy from the comments. Only one comment actually targets the accusation and that was towards the mother. The other comments noted are targeted at looks and asking why anyone would want to be a professional cheerleader. We already know what kind of person you must be. To be a professional cheerleader is a privilege, an honor, dedication and a way to make friends for life. It is almost the same as a sorority sister hood. We donate our time to fund raise for charities and hospitals. We visit Childrens Hospital and the Shriners Burns Center for children to give them love and attention. We cry when we leave because it is heart breaking. We visit our men and women in the military and give them a piece of home. All professional cheerleaders are either full time students in college, are working part or full time in the career that they have chosen. We do this in addition to raising our children. My daughters are proud of me for my time spent as a cheerleader.
Our professional NFL cheerleaders are doctors, lawyers, teachers, social workers, nurses, occupational, physical and speech therapists, Business women that run corporations. The list is never ending. So, now, why ask such an ignorant question on why anyone would want to be a cheerleader.
None of you really know what happened. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty.
For all we could know it could be a jealousy issue that has ruined the life of a young, beautiful young women that loved her job.

let me try to enlighten you. grown-ups do not, aspire to be "adult" cheerleaders. no-one person will reckonize you in public. that's a given! who in the world is jealous of a accused child molester? that's sick! especially when the accused is a teacher! do you have children that go to school? how would you feel if a male teacher had sex with your minor son? i bet you wouldn't approve! aspire to be more of a role model. adult cheerleaders, in my opinon, and i am allowed to express my opinion, are vapid, mindess, girl's with one foot away from a new pornstar or less than a foot away from being a child molester. especially if adult, vapid, cheerlears choose to be teachers. thank your team-mate(yuck) for this opinion.

FYI Ben gal ky-
"Our professional NFL cheerleaders are doctors, lawyers, teachers, social workers, nurses, occupational, physical and speech therapists, Business women that run corporations. The list is never ending."
Better ad convicted & self-admitted child molester to the list... Although considering she walked out of court holding the teenage's hand & smiling the entire way to her Dateline interview & supposed future MTV reality show, I certainly wouldn't add "remorseful" or "classy" to your list.

To call her a child molester is crazy! He was 17 and a willing participant and certainly not a victim! The only reason this was illegal is because she was a teacher, and that makes it a felony! I don’t see how people can put her in the same group as people who actually victimize and abuse children! I am glad she got a light sentence and no jail time!

I would ask how glad one would be if say they had a 17 yr old daughter, & her 27 year old male teacher was parading her around from court to court- interview to interview, etc., just so supposedly In love w/her? That is- as long as the cameras are still rolling. I have no problem with ms. Jones being labeled a child molester- how on earth is any1 to thnk this relationship only started at age 17? She says they have known each other for years- & considering her track record, honesty certainly isn't her forte'. If the kid was 16 would it be acceptable? 14? 12? She was in a position of authority & trust- a teacher 10 yrs older than the "17" yr old she had sex with. On top of all the legal aspects involved- there's jst an "ewwwwwww" factor one cannot get past. She's an embarrassment to teachers everywhere who everyday are capable of being at school & NOT feeling the need to seduce/have sex with their students. Again- major "ewwwwwww" factor.

Light sentence is right. However, she is a felon. Not going to look good on a resume.

The fact of the matter is that this woman has mental health issues and may be accuratley referred to as a "loser" for lack of a better word. Any adult who relies on their position of authority to obtain companionship, romantic persuits or other, is really someone who is unable to successfully maintain relationships with their own peer group. Obviously a very troubled person. The cheerleading thing is sort of absurd as well. What adult aspires to be a cheerleader? I mean really? I would guess these folks are consumed with themselves and seek some form of validation. POOP!

a teacher should teach the children, NOT molest them. how vapid do you have to be to ASPIRE to be an adult cheerleader! oh, this is a MEOW but,,,, if this gross looking, child molesting, over the top make-up wearing creature, sat to close to a lamp she would melt!! GROSS!

I think this was the karma fairy coming to collect on past evil and higher than there attitudes. If Cheryl helped cover it up I truly hope she gets to pay a price. I remember being in the other seat and how important and good and well mannered her daughter was just to be told my son couldn't play football because of some stupid joke not only for the rest of that year but to follow him to Scott as well. When she knew his dad had just passed away. Football was all that kept him together. Instead of taking care of the kids she focused on her "cheerleader" leaving my child to give up forever. When I left very pissed off I told her that the karma bus would come for her and when it hits it won't be pretty but it will be everything you deserve.

Live it up Gals!! Lord knows we had to only she caused ours! I love gods punishments more
