Mandela was the terrorist leader of a violent terrorist organisation, the ANC (African National Congress) which was responsible for many thousands of, mostly black, deaths. The ANCís blood spattered history is frequently ignored, but reminders occasionally pop up in the most embarrassing places, indeed as recently as this month the names of Nelson Mandela and most of the ANC remained on the US governmentís terrorist watch list along with al-Qaeda, Hezbollah and the Tamil Tigers. Of course the forces of political correctness are rushing to amend that embarrassing reminder from the past. However, Mandelaís name was not on that list by mistake, he was there because of his murderous past.

Always make me laugh and sad at same time to see the Nazi KKK post like yours. Mandela was none of what you said. He was a fighter for freedom and equality. Had your heroes the whites not been evil vile Nazi fascist KKK pigs and let blacks have freedom there would have been no war.

No run along to your KKK meeting find out who else you have to hate...PIG!!!!!!

You guys are not at the top of the heap for intelligence, not at the top of the heap for comprehension, not at the top of the heap for reading a history book, not at the top of the heap for reading a newspaper and have no skills at understanding Mr. Mandela's life.

Perhaps you are one of those crazies who have been chest thumping at Green-Eggs-and-Ham-Cruzzie and Crazy Limbaugh for understanding Mr. Mandela's life and his contribution to the world.

I am not saying he is not a big deal in africa but I also don't ignore the fact that while people try to place him in company with Martin Luther King and Gandhi he does not belong there. He was not happy with the way the National African Congress was proceeding so he broke and formed his own wing in order the rachet up the violence.

In a speech he said that they should cut off the noses of those who help the government, his wife winnie said no we should necklace them. This turned loose a wave a violence against blacks in south africa accused, sometimes wrongly, of helping the government. The practice still goes on today because it is effective at keeping people in line. You would think it would have stopped or he would have stopped it when the whites were tossed out of power but they found a new use for it. Starving black refugees were crossing over from Zimbabwe and needed to be turned back because they were taking and running down the wages for jobs.

In case you don't know what necklacing is that is where you tie the hands of the accused slide a old tire over his shoulders pour a little petrol on it, just enough to get the tire burning and throw a match to it.

In case you doubt his violence read Mandela's own book, the long walk to freedom, Mandela admits to signing off on the church street bombing in Pretoria killing 19 people and wounding 217.

And you presume to pick my hero's and call them vile and evil. Look what you support.

Which one of our founding fathers condoned something like necklacing and what was it they did which was similar ? Which one gave the ok to conduct bombings killing civilians.
