I just finished reading "For Laci". I had to take a few moments afterwards to cry my eyes out for Laci and Conner. And also for her family. I am sickened to death by someone's selfish disgusting act. I hope he rots in hell. Period.

They alerted to a scent in his warehouse. Have you read the trial transcripts?
I have read some of the transcripts, but not all. However, from pwc-sii.com , there are explanations of the testimony and summaries. I believe you're referencing the dog Twist? Here's an excerpt, because this is in dispute:

The strong chemical smell from the fertilizer was outside Twist's training parameters.

When Anderson put Twist in the boat, she showed mild interest, and dropped her head, and then tried to get out of the boat, which was quite unusual for her.

Twist turned and ran her nose along the top railing of the boat on the starboard side of the bow, turned around and worked three boxes that were under a small workbench there, came back around to the boat, and went into an alert, and then barking in frustration, because she could not pinpoint any kind of particular source.

Anderson told Det. Hendee that she believed Twist was alerting in that particular area, but she could not give him a definitive point.

December 27, 2002 Search Effort at the house, Park, and warehouse (Summary from Boyer's Pre-Trial Testimony)

Brocchini asked Boyer to provide cadaver dogs to search the house and yard, Rock Creek park, and the warehouse.

Boyer did not witness Twist's behavior in the shed, nor did he remember hearing Anderson tell the detectives in the debriefing that Twist did a solid alert directed towards a chemical sprayer that smelled like fish emulsion.

Boyer, Anderson, and Twist searched the park for about 90 minutes, focusing on the perimeters and walking areas. Anderson did not say Twist alerted at any time in the park.

Twist was at the warehouse about 45-60 minutes, off-leash. Anderson is who debriefed the Detectives after the search. Boyer did not remember Anderson telling the Detectives that Twist had made an alert, had hit three separate times, or alerted three times. He did not remember Anderson ever saying that Twist alerted in the warehouse. Boyer did not see Twist alert at the warehouse, but he was not in visual contact with Twist most of the time.

And then, apparently, Geragos is angry at the pre-trial testimony of Anderson, saying she's testifying to things not contained in the written report on Twist's warehouse search. Part of that dialogue, with interjections from prosecutor Harris and the judge:

Judge Delucchi: Well, where is it materially deviating from the report?
David Harris: It isn't. We have reports of the detective.
Mark Geragos: She showed, I'm reading,
Judge Delucchi: Go ahead.
Mark Geragos: She showed mild interest but no alerts. That's her report.
Judge Delucchi: Okay. She just got done saying,
Mark Geragos: But she did not go into full alert. She's just
testified, and that's not,
David Harris: That's not the end of the statement either. She demonstrated frustration by barking, but did not go to her full
alert, or pinpoint the particular spot, which is what the witness just testified to.
Mark Geragos: I would invite the Court to have the transcript read back, because precisely what he was asking,
Judge Delucchi: I'm going by my notes. Mr. Geragos, with all due respect, I think you are overstating it. I don't find any misconduct.
It's an inference from the evidence that's right there, and that's what she was saying. She just said that she couldn't base an opinion
because of the amount of chemicals that the dog, that the dog alerted on. That's substantially what that is.
Mark Geragos: If that's the case, I ask the entire testimony be struck as to the warehouse.
Judge Delucchi: Overruled.

The way I understand this, is that Anderson's testimony that Trimble alerted at the warehouse was a surprise to Geragos, because no such alert was noted in the report. In addition, there was confusion because of the fertilizer smell.

I think it's time to forgive Scott. He seems quite sorry for the way things turned out for all. People please put your faith in gentle Jesus meek and mild for the sins of thy father. I for one would like to see Scott a free person again. He still has time to start over....people forgive and forget!

When your pregnant daughter is murdered and disposed of in a bay of water and you have the urge to forgive the person that did that, then feel free to let everyone know you know how it feels and you forgave the person that did this to your daughter. Until then I think your opinion is disgusting.

Since we don't know who killed Laci and dumped the bodies forgiveness seems premature. Due to the laziness of the MPD we may never know who did this.

Rocha missed no opportunity to make money off the tragedy. She will squirm and scream when she has to repay it all to Scott.

That is not your call, we are on the outside looking in and i don't think you should tell a grieving mother some kinda bs like this. I had a family friend killed at a young age so i have an idea of grief and you should keep stupid post like yours to yourself

sharon,my heart just goes out to you and your family. it is so sad to have the death of your beautiful daughter replayed over and over again. As for scott peterson and his family they will pay for the deceptions and lies they told to protect their spoiled little precious pompious jackass of a son.
I agree i read her book she is a remarkable lady and she gave a true insight into just what classless and vile people his parents are. And their bad parenting showed in how a spoiled coward they raised i think when the police would not let go he was shook up cause mommy and daddy could not buy his way out of trouble. And the more people got around him they seen he was not a golden boy he was a coward. I hope there is a special place in Hell for Scott, and his no good mom and dad. id like to ask his father did it make you feel like a big tough guy taunting a grieving mother your a punk like your pos son. id like to see Scott live in general pop and have them do what they do to baby killers in prison. needle is to easy gas chamber or electrocution would be better. and let his mommy and daddy on each knee. roast in hell scott.
