John, I work a for shop that does a lot of specialty finishing in automotive marketing. We have 3 Pack-smarts, 2 IMS 30" tipping lines and 1 large B1 40" duplex imaging system with 4 Kodak 9"inkjet heads. Pack-smart IMS 20 is great for loyalty and gift card projects. 2 main advantages: ability to run dual stream and excellent product traceability. Another neat feature, RP912 tipper can handle up to 3 different products out same unit, all at once Very handy when running GSM SIM, card packs and personal care stuff.

40" B1 duplex line is typically used for complicated self mailers and whenever record matching is required . It takes a little longer to set up but offers a lot of flexibility with its FIFO function, FIFO is very handy when synchronizing multiple inkjet heads.
If you decide to go with Pack-smart be sure to let them know what ink jets you are going to be using, get 10" operator screen and variable vacuum option. Feel free to email me if you have any questions [email protected]

We just picked an early model ( 2003) Packsmart IMS 30" mailer, this thing is built like a German tank.
All we had to do is reload the original software and good to go.
Touchscreen and drives work like new, we specially like patter controller and pick and place tipper.
