More lawsuits. What kind of parents would be dim enough to not notice that the wee fingers of their beloved offspring (or grandkids) are in the danged hinge BEFORE THEY UNFOLD IT? Do they also slam the car door without checking for kids and pets in the way? Do they back up their cars without looking?
These are the kinds of people who, when their kid chokes from getting a sweatshirt cord wrapped around his throat (yes, that has happened), sue the clothing manufacturer. No reason to take responsbility for putting age-inappropriate clothes on your child. No reason to take responsibility for taking common-sense precautions. No reason to tell the little one, "Watch your hands!", or just moving the tiny digits out of the way. You can always sue if something goes wrong. |
