Poo is heavy, you can climb that! It's generally cheap but not as sturdy! 6 to one , half dozen to the other I suppose!

Just picked up one of these ladders secondhand.
The quality of this thing is tip top.
Have had a cheapy version of this ladder for years and it has been great except we have rebuilt it many times as the rivets fall out.
The Transforma is all welded and the welds (on mine) look good.
Yes it is heavy but what 5.4 metre ladder isn't.
My advice would be if you can afford it or can get one secondhand go for it.

Responded to TV ad to buy Transforma ladder and "gift" - total package $249.00. When I received a return phone call from TV Shop (1800 504 100) was told the package was the Tranforma ladder, free gift "Renovator" and then to my dismay, a whole lot more products - total price $645.00. What misleading and deceptive conduct. Now reading interesting info. on ACCC government website re "Misleading & deceptive conduct". I may take appropriate action agasinst TV Shop (global entity).

I remember years ago, there was a ladder just like the Transforma Ladder, being advertised on the TV, and it was called the Little Giant Ladder or something like that, and it was apparently made in the USA.

It is heartening to see Jesse is so pleased with the transformer ladder he bought.
I have just ordered one. The shipping statement has arrived. But I had no idea it would be so expensive $645 I thought I heard the ad say around $300 or under. With the multi tool free. The lady on the phone may have her Masters in English but I found it very hard to understand her accent. Just had to keep memorising the ad I had seen to recall what I was actually buying ! Fingers crossed my son likes it as I bought it for his Christmas present !!

I don't normally buy things advertised on tv but bought a transformer ladder and I have nothing but praise for it,it is heavy compared to others of this type but it is a msmall price to pay for a decent ladder.People who but bunnings cheaper ladders obviously dont appreciate quality or their own safety.Yes they had a problem with the extension legs but I was pleasantly surprised when without knowing a new updated pair turned up by courier at no cost to me,how many companies do that.I have nothing but praise for my ladder.Hopw this helps anyone considering one of thes ladders.

Responded to t.v shop add and were offering me trasforma ladder for $650.00 plus $28.00 delivery and payment plan to pay it over 4 months with no interest charged. It came with a home reno kit a plank for between the rungs (1.8 meteres length)2 other attachments that you can stand on and a set of kitchen knives.
It looks like a great ladder and am willing to pay for it as long as i'm not buying crap.Don't be fooled they get the home reno kit for next to nothing ans as a matter of fact anything they offer you for free they also get for next to nothing.WHO'S GOT ONE AND ARE THEY ANY GOOD.ARE THEY REALLY THAT HEAVY THAT MAKE THEM UNPRACTICLE.

Was considering buying the Transformer Ladder.

I can tell you that the Swiss knife set is terrible. Worst Ive ever seen!!!
Unless you would like to saw some plastic or wood

I like the Renovator tool. It is handy.
It is very good for cutting interior walls, because it does not send dust everywhere, due to the two blades spinning in opposite directions.

Dual Saw is way too heavy for one hand, and has quite a bit of kick.
It also requires a finger to hold back the plastic guard??? I am thinking of 'transforming' it into a drop saw somehow.
Also it only cuts about 4cm thickness Thats about an Inch and three quarters)

I got mine a couple of years ago. I have been delighted with it. I was even more impressed when after a few months, out of the blue I receive two more inner legs and was asked to throw away the originals. I presume they were poorly welded and were immediately replaced at their cost and without hassel. Even moe impressed! Worth ever cent!

I bought one about 2 years ago. a great ladder. I have received a recall letter. So I rang them. The ladders have been down load rated to 120kg. Something to do with a recent change in the new Zealand and Australian standards testing procedure. They are going to send me a brand new transformer ladder when the new ones have been built, for free, which will be rated by the new standards at 180kg. They said it may take a few months as they are in the process of manufacturing them now.
That pretty good back up in my opinion.

I recieved a recall notice in the mail re the change of weight rating for my transformer ladder as it did not meet the australian or NZ compliance rating at 180 kg.I beleive that they have falsly misled the puplic as in the info on thier commercial they state that the ladder met the standards rating at 180kg but now they send you a replacement sticker for you to attach yourself as the ladder is now only rated at120kg safe working load.Thier quick fix to false advertising ? got news for them as I am taking the matter up with fair trading .This ladder is well and truely overpriced at this rating.

My husband had the same recall notice and stickers, he rang them up and said the rating of 120kg isn't high enough for his needs, he weighs 110kg plus when carrying tools etc he would be over the 120kg. No arguments from them, they said they would send a new ladder out with the new 180kg rating within 6 weeks, however we haven't received it yet and it's been about 8 weeks, so a phone call tomorrow I think. My husband has no regrets buying the ladder, he thinks its great. Just wish we'd paid $650, as I'm sure we paid $1200 for the larger size ladder and all accessories in 2009.
