Brought a Bravetti deep fryer a couple years ago from HSN. I used it a couple and now it does not work. The appliance is out of warranty..I called the company. A gentleman told me that they do not have a list of places to have the fryer repair. He wanted me to order a part and they would try to tell me over the phone how to repair my own fryer. I am not a repair man.

Bought a second Bravetti Platinum Pro Deep Fryer as the first one just died after using it for about six times and because we are not a big fry family we had it for a year before this happened and the second one has done the same thing after about 10 uses. What is up with that the element inside the fryer just quits working.

there is a reset button on the back of the unit - it is in a hole...press it until it clicks - then - presto - it will get hot again

You are a genius -- we were going to throw out our deep fryer after only 6 or 7 uses because it would not heat up anymore and the warranty was expired. Read the manual that came with it but couldn't see anything that would help. Then I read your message--took out the unit and with a flashlight found the hole with the little red button inside. Pressed it, plugged in the unit and taa-daa it started to heat up. Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you. I am really upset with Bravetti that they don't tell you about this in the manual, or at least put a sticker on the back indicating the location of a reset button. I wonder how mamy people have thrown out their units when all they had to do was reset it????

It can stop working after you remove the element/back panel when you lift it out of the container for washing.

There's a tiny switch inside the two black plastic rails/slots that makes sure it's installed safely.

If it isn't on the rails, a HIDDEN SAFETY SWITCH is OFF. Just slide it onto the rails nicely and it WORKS! YAY!

I had a Bravetti Stainless steel deep fryer explode on me this week (Oct. 4th/11). I was taking out the fries from the basket when there was a loud bang. The deep fryer jumped and turned and sent oil all over the kitchen. It was removed from my home and returned to the store within an hour.
These fryers are dangerous and people should know about the chance for an explosion.
Fortunately, no one was burnt but that was just luck.

Is the model pictured, the only model covered under the recall? I just tried to unplug my large single basket model and the plug was melted to the outlet.I can't understand how it did not short out as there is a huge hole melted between the prongs of the plug.

I have a Bravetti Pro and it quit working but the reset button seems to be ok Is there another problem with these fryers mine is not very old also and hardly been used I used it and 2 days later it wont heat up but all the lights come on and seems to be ok but no heat from the element. Seems like this was not the fryer to buy according to all the problems that they have.

I bought a Bravetti extra large capacity deep fryer, last month. While in use, I noticed that the cord is overheating from end to end, immediately turn it off, send it to where I bought it and gave me a replacement, same model, tried it and still it gives the same problem (cord overheating), is there a recall for this unit, this may cause fire, please do something.

I have the same problem and the little reset button wiggles around and will not click in.. I have only used this item about a dozen time over a period of a year. It was bought from CTC and it will surely go back. One way or the other I will ghet a credit fo it.

Just as a footnote, This fryer is the third of 3 Bravettii appliances we have. The other two have had issues from day one and we don't even use them anymore.

All three will probably share the same garbage bin..

Say goodnight Euro-Trash!!!

I've had my fryer nearly 8 years now. Being from south Louisiana, we've used the heck out of it. Been one of the best appliances I've ever owned (lasted longer than my last refrigerator!!!). Only now am I having a problem, but that may be because my teenage daughter dropped the element/housing while cleaning it. I only hope I find one as good.

Need to get another cord for my euro pro F1400BA deep fryer. Where can I order from? My cord also was hot when I unplugged it. Upon further inspection I noticed around the prongs of the cord was melted slightly. Now I can't seem to find where I can order another cord???
