I read your info. very carefully about the up coming meeting of July 18th. Interesting, that now 56 counties in California plus "Ojai" have banned the smart meter all together. It is now considered to be a criminal offense to install the meter. I just makes me wonder what in the world is going on in the Okanagan?. We should not have to ask for opt-outs or moratoriums. The very installing of these meter with all the facts about the lack of safety of this device.is a criminal offense. Demand the removal or the installation of this meter. Corix has been given a contract by Hydro. What this means to me, is that they are selling a meter that they must get rid of.All they want is to get their money .You and I and the rest of the community they have no interest in.

If these new meters are referred to as "Smart Meters" what does that imply about the old meters?

This is just another example of how the government colludes with business as judge and jury system to force changes despite all opposing view, data and logic. We are a class composed of the uninformed and the ignorant. By the time the masses are informed of the risk, the reversal of the change is more often an expense few will support. So we will swallow it, and in doing so, we allow this collusion to continue.

The fact that BC hydro declined to be present at the meeting only confirms the fact that there is no regard or accountability. This is not democracy, just an illusion of one! this situations and ones like it, sicken me to the very core!

Get used to the new reality. This is the way it is and this is the way it is going to be. It is government by committee. It is rule by bureaucrat and cronyism. There is no need for a legislature anymore. Your vote is free, but it's moot.
