Not an unexpected decision from a court filled with right wing extremist activist judges without any respect for the bill of rights.

Dopeheads and other criminals have used intentional minor offenses and lax searches to continue smuggling drugs into the jails in various ways, predominantly hiding them in body cavities. Marijuana is commonly the precursor to other illegal activities. Allowing any avenue of smuggling drugs to continue the delusions of criminals is unwise.

The Court got this one wrong.

But if the Court is seriously concerned about contraband getting into the prisons then every employee should be strip searched the moment they show up at facility for work.

Yeah, but your sick, because people arrested for really minor offenses don't go to prison.

This gives cops way too much power and too much discretion to apply the rules abusively towards those who "don't look right."

Meanwhile, any damn cretin can see the incarceration rate in this country for unimportant drug offenses and other non violent crimes is not sustainable.

The Tea Bagger/constapo/talibangelical answer: More strip searches for drugs, more bodies in corporate owned prisons for minor drug possessions.

Only you start talking about prison. Jails are the places where minor offenders go and get searched. Many jails have longer term inmates, most have deals with the State to house long term prisoners. Leave it to dope promoters to try to claim jail and prison inmates are victims of "non violent crimes", when it is those they assault, batter and entrap with their druggie behavior and drug pushing, who are the victims.

"The Supreme Court ruled Monday that those arrested for even minor violations may be strip-searched before being admitted to jail, saying safety concerns outweigh personal privacy rights."

Amendment 4 " ... right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated,..."

So what is 'unreasonable'?

Good call; we wouldn't want prisoners bringing in drugs and cell phones to compete with the staff.

Hey stupid homophobe:

"High Court OKs Jail Strip Searches for Any Offense" - PBS News Hour

Not prison. Jail. You can go to jail for something minor...and that's where you'll be prior to your trial, either until you bail out or until the court dates.

And you Tea Bagging cretins whine when TSA waves a wand over your belly....

It's amazing how the liberal/communist scumbags on this forum reason. It's all OK for a biased democRat controlled congress to concoct a way to pass the anti-Constitutional obamacare bill which mandates Americans purchase a health insurance policy...and if they do not they can be fined OR go to jail. Furthermore the democRat congress who passed the bill without one Republican vote exempted themselves from the law.
Now we have a USSC ruling that OKs strip searches mainly reserved for those joining the general population in a jail, etc. In other words those who do not qualify for a quick bail or if they're general all around pluck-ups who are just at home in jail as they are anywhere else.
Imagine that, someone's dear old dad or mom being thrown in a jail full of dirtbags for not being able to keep their family insured...That's an obamanation.

Oh, but you're an ignorant liar.

Obamacare does not require anyone to purchase health insurance. You pay a tax if you elect not to.

You are required to buy car insurance because your drunkeness' costs have to be dealt with in some way.

Similarly, the costs of those who have no insurance and go to emergency rooms now gets picked up by everyone else. Those uninsured's costs need to be dealt with in some way.
