Edward Snowden did the American people a great service by disclosing what the government has been doing - spying on and monitoring every American. The program that he disclosed is probably the greatest step toward tyranny that the U.S. has ever taken. It is time to repeal the so-called Patriot Act and all the other laws that made it legal for the government to do this.

If Snowden is brought back to the U.S. it should be to give him a special gold Medal of Freedom.

Agree and concur.
He is an American hero as it stands now imo.

He single handedly aided the enemy by exposing how they are tracked. That's your hero.

He single handedly exposed how the rights of American citizens by the millions are being violated by exposing the enemy. Obama and company who is condoning these rights violations upon American citizens and IMO he is the traitor.

Behind the scenes Master Minds have an agenda as the transformation of America is to be, period.
Obama & Co. are the puppets and we Americans are experiencing "Soft Tyranny" and worst is yet to come if "We the People" sit idle and let it happen.
Snowden is feLT as most true Patriotic Americans feel/are noticing with each passing day(and it's getting worst)... we are being watched,taxed to no end/enslaved.

The Ballad of Brave Sir Robin
Bravely bold Sir Robin rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die, O brave Sir Robin!
He was not at all afraid to be killed in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out, and his elbows broken;
To have his kneecaps split, and his body burned away;
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir Robin!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
And his pen--

Brave Sir Robin ran away.
Bravely ran away, away!
When danger reared its ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!

He is packing it in and packing it up
And sneaking away and buggering up
And chickening out and pissing off home,
Yes, bravely he is throwing in the sponge...

I'd say Boehner is much more of a traitor for pushing amnesty than Snowden is for exposing excessive and illegal government surveillance.

Pentagon Papers Leaker Daniel Ellsberg Praises Snowden, Manning
http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2013/08/0...
Daniel Ellsberg, the military analyst who in 1971 leaked the top-secret Pentagon Papers detailing the history of U.S. policy in Vietnam, tells NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday that unlike Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden, he "did it the wrong way" by trying first to go through proper channels a delay that he says cost thousands of lives.
