Tom here manages to find one station that may have an opinion different than he so he labels that right wing. Once.

But he ignores the fact that the news, even on 69 is biased towards the socialist and democrats.

If you want to be truly fair, then we don't need what is in what is called the "Fairness Doctrine". What we need is to be really open to Conservative views as well. Presently most of the media is slanted to protect Socialist Comrade Obama and his socialist agenda. We need to hear credible opposing (conservative) viewpoints on PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, most newspapers especially the Morning Call, much of FM stations news reporting and efven some AM stations newsreporting.

Perhaps if there was more fair reporting Americans would not have elected a rabid Anti-American socialist as we have in Comrade Obama.

I don't like the commentary at the end just because they're blowhards.

I just turn the channel.

I've also started to just listen to the local TV news because, with the exception of Rob V, they're just unpleasant to view. In HD it is even scarier!

Tom, I watch the station almost every day and don't see any bashing. I do hear an editorial from the Reading Newspaper on the Berks edition but otherwise I think the station favors the Democrats. I think you have a condition that is called "selective listening". You have to listen to news reports in their entire context and then make a judgement. We all hear what we wan t to hear but some of us are worse than others.

And where and when does the Call give the right wing view? I'd like you to tell me, please.

You want to talk about a slanted channel, give a listen there and especially to Bobby Gunther Walsh. The characters he brings on, like Brinson, are kooks. He slobbers all over Toomey too. I think they have a love child together or something. I'd love to turn the dial but they do great traffic reporting.

I believe the writer was referring to Dick Dean and Donald Barnhouse, If they are still on?(I don't watch WFMZ
anymore.) Dean was (is?) a right-wing conservative christian. If I remember correctly, their commentary was relegated to the final minute or two of the newscast, and labeled commentary. On a lighter note. The FCC probably already hates (hated) WFMZ. They got a frequency high in the alotted spectrum that was hard to control when they first went on air, and were assigned channel # sixty-nine.

Oh, what transports of delight when we can see the neo-cons squirming now that another view of things is being carried by the media and, of course, being believed.

If you don't like the new order, turn to Rush re-runs. That should be easy listening for you, since every show of his bombast sounds like everything he has already said before.

Why we get Philly news all the way up here is beyond me. South Jersey gets it too but that I can understand. I would think we'd get NYC news all the wway up here.

All those channels-MSNBC, FOXNews, etc. the people commenting on these stations...who are they? I mean what is their title? Complainers? I've looked at both stations & it seems to me they're giving these nobody's a soapbox & a mic & just letting them go ape sh!t. Whatever happened to classic non biased news reporting without adding one's 2 cents? If I had ever given my personal political opinion on stories I had written for the newspaper I wrote for years ago I would have been fired on the spot before it even got past the editor.

What's fairly obvious from reading all of these partisans postings from the left & the right is that a lot of people are incapable of thinking for themselves or are so insecure in their own thoughts that listening to any opposing viewpoint causes the launch of some really stupid, if not mildly entertaining, attacks.

There are plenty of media outlets that push agendas from the both sides of the aisle. Neither should be silenced. They only folks who should be silenced are those who espouse silencing opposing points of view because they don't like what they hear. If you don't like what someone else is saying you need to either grow a little spine or change the channel.

Service Electric carries the ABC/NBC/CBS NYC stations. In case you are geographically challenged, NYC is a whole state away, we happen to live in Pennsylvania, the state that Philadelphia is in. Ergh

That doesn't mean anything, just because Phili is in this state. NY is a whole state away from NJ also but the majority of NJ gets NYC news. Phili is in Pennsylvania yet they don't receive Phili news in Johnstown. By your theory the entire state of PA should be getting the Phili news lol. Really, if you're going to try & be a smartasss know what you're talking about first, makes a better impact.

They have the Berks edition and a full Spanish-speaking edition to cater to the ever-burgeoning Hispanic population. To me, they do a decent job given their budgetary constraints. Rob Vaughan is a pleasant, unassuming guy and a consummate professional. Ed Hanna can go. His act is pretty lame.

Yes, the 69 News Latina anchors are way hotter than Wendy Davis or Kathy Craine but I compare it to watching Univision. I don't understand a word they're saying but they sure look good saying it.

Whatever happened to Trish O'Shea? She was cute. I miss her. Liz Keptner is doing well at CBS-3 in Philly and of course, my main man, Trey Wingo, another 69 alum, is doing fabulously as an ESPN Sports Center anchor and host of NFL Live. Jacci Farris is another hottie on Channel 69.

Keep up the good work WFMZ-69! You're the minor leagues for the major markets.

Without Rob, I doubt we would listen at all.
It takes Eddy H 10 minutes to get to the weather after his obligatory 2nd grade weather lesson- at the 10pm news.

I don't need my newscasters to be "hot" but they should be able to get through the show without frequent blunders and a not burn holes in our eyes like Wendy Davis does. Egads, her and Kathy Craine are a creature double feature.

Great to hear about successful alum, though.

Listen to you.. define "all the way up here"? I can understand if you are in SWB but we are one hour north of Philadelphia. How does that define "way up here" Go look at a map or better yet move back to NJ. It's great having all you transplants complain about why we don't have what you had "back home". BTW, I married a Jersey GIRL and she agrees with me.... Ergh

Comrade Avis,

Don't be so disingenuous. Joe represents only a small fraction of those Obama supporters at that Comrade Obama network. And besides he too may have bashed socialist lite Bush at some point. God knows he helped pave the way for the megalomaniac Socialist Comrade Obama.

So, the writer is exactly correct in his characterization of that network.

The days of Neo-Con control of all media are over.
The product they push is no longer selling and the truth of all the Bushite lies is coming to light.
Rush and his lackeys who want the worst for this nation and say so loudly are exposed for the traitors they are.
Wall Street elitists and their country-club cronies are being driven out from their high places into the deserts of powerlessness.
