Thanks much for publishing Dennis The Menace's name.

THAT is likly the best punishment of all.

And great for the police - they should do more of this 'reinforcement' of sending the right message.

Good job!

Word of advice when thinking of doing something so stupid ... don't include your name on any papers/bill/receipts/subscript ions or otherwise when dumping your trash on someone else's property. DUH Just pay for your trash pick up like the rest of us have to.

Not believeable. It would take years to clean up all the trash in Saint Thomas. Then you'd have to get rid of their garbage.

We live along Route 30 and trash being thrown out and left in someone else's yard is a daily event. I would like to see more people have to pick up their own trash and maybe someone elses, they may not be so quick to toss it out their window again.

I say we find the losers who do this and all dump our trash on their lawns.

Huzzah! Huzzah for the police! In Colonial time, louts like the loser who dumped trash would be put into the stocks for a week or so. This dirtbag needs to pay a fine for littering.

on the subject of trash---i would like to see the smokers that throw there sig. butts out the window walking and picking them up too.the road in the morning hours looks like sparklers fromt the butts being still lit after someone throws it out.

I find the St Thomas area to be a community that cares what their yards and fields look like. I have seen people throw garbage from their cars ie: bottles cans etc while driving down rt 30. Kudos to the police for making this person clean up his mess. Let him do community service as well by picking up the trash along rt 30 that so many passerbyers throw out their windows. Maybe people will think twice before they litter any roads.

I once pulled over on the side of the road and got out and made my son pick up a bottle he had pitched out the window.

I had to inform him of the litter rules and fines and such. Wish more people would teach their kids this.

Anyone who participates in the Adopt-a Highway program knows full well the extent of trash dumped along our roadsides daily.

WOW! I set a few bags of garbage out in my driveway for pickup by IESI weekly. About $26 a month.

So now if someone wants to get me in trouble all they have to do is pick up my garbage bags, and dump them somewhere, and the PSP will show up and put me on "work release".

Sounds like law enforcement is over-stepping their bounds when they start acting as judge & jury. If Mr. Kreider was injured during this cleanup "assignment", guess who would be liable for his medical bills.

Is this really the way this happened...sounds very questionable to me???
