A vast majority seem to think this is for complete legalization of marijuana. It's NOT! It is about legalizing it for prescribed medicinal purposes, not personal pleasure usage!

Why don't you do a little research and find out how much the failed war on drugs cost American tax payers per year. You know since you're all worried about your tax dollars and all.
It's good you brought that up. Even legal cigarettes alcohol, and prescription drugs have a large illegal trade in this country. It would be as bad or worse with pot and will mean many, many more tax dollars to be wasted on those criminals, many more tax dollars than ever would be netted in taxes. Everything done, like legalizing any form of marijuana, creates a whole new, huge, expensive set of problems that those working hard and not breaking the law are expected to pay for.

I disagree. Whether the medicinal value is legalized or not there are going to be illegal sales.

Medical marijuana was passed in Michigan in 2008. It was an overwhelming 75% yeah. I think most voters know that pot is not the big deal some ultra conservatives churchy folks think it is. Personally, I have seen way more damage done by people who are drunk. Violence is the worst by-product from drinking.

It's not so much the chemical pot but the fracking SMOKE. Pot has the same hazards as any most other smoked tobbaco products including smoke & pollutants. A smoked product is a fire hazard. The stench is nausiating. I can't stand cigarette or cigar smoke at this point and I sure as heck can't stand the smell of pot.

If you want to smoke it in YOUR house on YOUR time alone fine. But legalized pot should not give you the right to contaminate others. Pot should never be legalized for public use the same reason cigarettes and cigars are being banned at this point.

Another misconception. Derivatives of marijuana are also dispensed in tablet or capsule form. God forbid that you ever develop any of the diseases that it's used as pain management. Or would you rather take a form of painkiller that is highly addictive such as morphine or oxy?

I guess the idiot doesn't know the cannabis can be baked into candies, cakes, brownies, cookies and the list goes on and on. It does not have to be consumed in the form of smoke. Some people truly are ignorant.

You must have gotten yours from someone that laced it with hallucinogenics or something. That us the most ignorant statement I've ever heard on the subject of marijuana.

LOL! And you are correct.

It was satire. I remember an old Playboy cartoon from the 70's, I think, where one big brute of a cop was talking to another, both of them with big pot bellies from eating too many donuts, and that's what one said to the other. That was the line of the cartoon. It was funny as hell, and so I abused you with it, trolled you with it, if you will. So please forgive me. Of course, we all know that pot is not addictive, that it is not a gateway drug, that it does not provoke violence, so the cartoon was a satire too, a sarcastic statement about how pigheaded cops are about a largely innocuous substance.

If you want to know the truth of how I feel, I have supported decriminalization of marijuana for a long time. I don't use it because I am a pilot, but I have seen too many kids made into criminals just for possession of a joint. I know this kid from WNC who was caught with a small amount of pot in Johnson City, TN, and they jailed him under a high bond and stuck it to him. It was an outrage. He was otherwise a good kid without a criminal record, and it was such an outrage, I want you to know I think I'd just like to boycott the whole goddamn state of Tennessee for what they did to that kid and other kids there in that archaic little confederacy.

So I hope you get a little bit of a laugh out of this because when I read the first outburst from the other guy, I just cackled out laughing like hell about it, and meant to put him wise to my sarcasm too, but I had to watch the debate first.

HaHa good one. Marijuana is the Devils ultimate tool to take over your mind. Yea right. I find it to be comforting when im feeling stresssed. Plus the pot nowdays is much more cerebral then it was in the past. It gives me energy to exercise and get things done not like that "feelin lazy" slacker metality pot of the past.

You are forgiven. lol Not being a fan or reader of Playboy I would have missed that cartoon. Haha

I have seen many instances like that boy's. Saw one boy sit in jail over two months and fines in the thousands because he was caught with a half a joint on him. This young man also had no previous record. All the while the judge was slapping the wrists of meth cooks and cocaine dealers and letting them go with probation. It's insane.

Lacing a joint with an addictive drug like coke or pcp keeps the customers coming back. You get all the business and soon won't have to worry about any competition from other dealers. It's the oldest trick in the book........keep smokin :)~
