The real story is how the mainstream press, despite knowing or strongly suspecting that he was lying, covered for him.

There are two Americas -- the real one, and the one the press tries to fob off on us.

Imagine if he'd gotten the nomination. What a selfish bastard — to run for the nomination while parading his cancerous wife about and knowing that if he won this story could have come out at any time — maybe in October — screwing up his party's chances!

Edwards has lost his luster IMO due to this. He is no longer the honest Christian family values man, but just another BS skirt chasing slob like the rest of them in Washington.

I too, love how all but one news source didn't give this story any attention. If it had been ANYONE from the other side of the aisle, the story would have been splashed all over the news the minute they caught wind of it! Not surprised.
