The Republicans are proponents of a student's right to drop out of school, there is no way they will identify with the benefits of government funded research.

You're talking about a people who believes the Earth is only 2000 years old.

Progressives will spend every dollar on every student even if they are not going to learn to the point of bankruptcy. Progressives believe the earth is fifty years old.

Soylendra involved loosing $250 Million, not Billion as in the $8 to $80 Billion which vanished into thin air during the Iraq campaign.

It's kind of late for Republicans to become so spending conscience. The Change we got from Obama was an end to the siphoning off of public funds, after the final looting of the U.S Treasury disguised at the Bush TARP legislation used to Nationalize the Financial and Automobile Industries in America.

President Obama does not know how to lead, even after 4 years in office- his on the job training.

Americans are tired of the fake 'working together' that President Obama is portraying.

And it is amazing that President Obama didn't eat the food presented at the republican meeting! He never planned to or he would have asked to have his food taster sample the food prior to the meal.

President Obama refuses to 'break bread' with his enemies.

What an idiot! Can eat with his foes. What a slap in the face to republicans. The President is bizarre.

I would rather my government invest in this than an illegal war that Bush lied this nation into.

$2 trillion dollar was drained from the treasury for Iraq... no WMD's, only thousands of dead soldiers... right wing nuts had better STFU about waste.

You don't speak for America.

Americans WANT our leaders to work together, but the GOPee won't.

Republicans hate Obama and Dems and don't deserve the benefit of the doubt, EVER.

Better to spend the money on education in hopes of wiping our Republican ignorance than hand it over to the military-industrial complex in hopes of protecting us from people flying planes into buildings.

Soylendra was over $500, 000, 000. Dont' make a fool of yourself by defending the indefensible.

If you will stop pretending that one failed company = "corruption" on Obama's part.

The only question is what big corporations are going to get all that money. If we knew ahead of time, we could invest, otherwise it is just a loss.

Now if Obama really wanted to help with the energy problem there are lots of small companies with enormous potential to do just that. I bet he won't even give them a first look.

Research is all well and good but the unfortunate trugh is that for now we are stuck with fossil fuels. Wec should also be doing research on safe responsible ways to extract them. I have no doubt that sometime in the future Thomas Edison's dream will come true and we will get most of our energy from the sun and the wind but for now $4 dollar a gallon gas is a serious inconvenience for most of us! Build that pipeline!

Your flaw is the innocent people who you stepped on to get there while you keep yelling about things many voters had no control of. The greatest military industrial guy was LBJ. Not a word about him. Your history gets fuzzy for some reason. you keep talking about all those mean people but do nothing about it. So you blame your neighbors.
