If Obama tried to impose any price controls in the slightest you would screaming he is a communist and be demanding him impeachment.

Not so simple. Demand is how many people are competing to obtain an item. The more competition there is for that item the more the price goes up. Competition can therefore also increase prices. In the case of oil, completion for the product can be reduced by not allowing speculators to compete for it. Make it for sale to suppliers and users only. You will then see a real supply and demand price.

Speculators can be handled quite easily and Obmama's admin has taken a step in the right direction to do so. Free lance speculators ( non-producers, non-major users )get in the game because the down payment is low ( upfront money ). The Obama admin has raised the minimum down payment on the purchase of a futures oil contract which cuts out many free lance speculators.

This action gets the demand more in-line with actual supply and a step in the right direction. However it doesn't change the upfront money on contracts traded in Dubai.

Teapublicans are still GOP. You may try to duck responsibility by claiming to be a different wing of the same bird that isn't going fly.

We have had 12 years of the Bush tax cuts, wing-nuts insisting they should continue, Tax cuts are a part of "Keynesian" economics, which both Bush and Obama practiced. 30 Years of Reaganomics, 30 years of dismal failure. Go back to school, grade school.

IF it was Keynesian would the stimuli have been 40% tax cuts/credits?

Itís Official: More Private Sector Jobs Created In 2010 Than During Entire Bush Years

It was 40% tax breaks for selected entities or didn't you notice.
Including an $8000 check to certain recent home buyers. Up to 50-60-70% rebates on various " Green and solar " purchases including free home insluation chaos . How did that work out ?

How many NET private jobs were created in 2010 ?

But STILL 40% TAX BREAKS RIGHT? Is that Keynesian?

How many net jobs? AFTER DUBYA'S GREAT RECESSION? Sorry Bubba, Obama's good, but unlike what you Fright Wingers say, he aint no Messiah.

How many private sector jobs did the Repugs tax cuts create again in 8 years of Dubya? Oh, they lost 663,000 private sector jobs, lol

Watch huge price spikes, rationing, or production halt. Review what happened to Gov Davis in California when he tried all that on electricity prices.

Cut taxes on fuel. That will help the low and middle income the most

Of course people driving 400HP muscle cars or monster trucks have no room to complain.
